If you want quality mental health care, look somewhere else! My daughter had her initial evaluation months ago, we thought she would be paired with a therapist and be able to begin therapy, this was not the case. We were not told that she would be placed on a wait list after her initial assessment and have to wait months for a therapist. We then got a call a month ago for an appointment biweekly at 4pm in the Ames office. My daughter had 1 telehealth appointment due to the weather and then I never heard anything. I call YSS and the original scheduler didn’t schedule out appointments for my daughter so they gave her spot away and told us we needed to get back on the wait list. I have dealt with YSS in the Boone location and the Ames location and they are both just terrible. The lack of knowledge in that place and disorganization paired with never answering their phones and the turn around rate for employees make it a real headache dealing with them!
