Yannay is a great trainer. He supported me with my horse, got it in shape, better trained, more quiet, and back on track. He was always willing to support me in any way we needed in the training process. Professional barn, clean, and horses are well taken care of. Yannay is honest, consistent, knowledgeable, loves his job and it shows in his training. I've seen him with colt starting to helping problem horses. He does it all. I would have no reservations to use him again in the future.

Yannay has been an absolute god send! He impressed me initially one day when did was unaware I was watching him while he was working with a young roan quarter horse colt with great confirmation. He was so quiet and patient with this horse. He didn't move fast or overwork the colt. He gently encouraged the colt, and successfully backed him. I found out months later that was his third time working with that particular colt. I brought my 6 year old warmblood to Yannay about a month later. I had been having some major problems with this gelding and had be hurt very badly due to him bucking me off. In 3 months Yannay turned my gelding around, fixed all of his behavioral problems, got him in excellent physical condition and I have not had an issue since. This was over a year ago. I have seen Yannay work will all breeds, even halter broke Thoroughbreds and get them calm, confident, quiet, focused and well behaved. Yannay is charming to work with and most importantly takes excellent care of each and every horse. He is talented and dedicated. I have recommended him to several people and they all had the same experience as I have. His prices are very fair for the high quality of care, training, and the beautiful facility he trains out of. He is far, in Ramona, but worth the drive! If it weren't for Yannay I would have sold the horse of my dreams. Now my horse is a gentlemen in hand, on the trail and in the arena! Thank you, Yannay!

My horse is finishing up 3 months of training with Yannay. I've had this gelding since he was born, but kids, work, and a couple of surgeries got in the way, and his formal training was put off way too long. With him being 7 years old, with a lot of groundwork and love but no time under saddle, I was very picky about who would start him. I'm a lifelong, experienced rider, but have not had much time in the saddle the last few years, and my main goal was to have my gelding safe, well-started, and well-rounded for me to work with. Yannay has exceeded my expectations. My horse tends to "turn off" if he's pushed too hard; Yannay has worked him gently and consistently, without pushing him past his comfort zone. As a result, in a few weeks I will be bringing home a horse I am now very comfortable working with under saddle. He is working at all gaits in the arena, and softening into contact. Yannay has also had him on trail and has exposed him to as many different situations as possible. I've been able to trailer my older gelding out and ride twice on the trails with them; and my younger one has been an absolute gentleman on trail. I am so appreciative of the work Yannay has put in to make my gelding into a partner that I'm looking forward to a long future with!

No one better! Simply the best trainer!! Yannay’s knowledge, experience and love for what he does is unmatched. A true horseman.
Two years ago I took my daughters new horse to him because the previous owner said “she kicks out at the canter & just needs an attitude adjustment.” Yannay worked with the mare and helped my daughter learn to ride her. Shortly after he discovered the horse was sore and suggested we have a vet evaluate her. Long story short, she was diagnosed with DSLD & we had to make the most difficult decision ever. Instead of continuing what could have been a very painful existence for the horse, we were able to put her at rest. The vet told us “ it’s the most unselfish thing we could do for her.”
Fast forward to now, my daughter found her heart horse, and with Yannay’s expertise, teaching and training along the way she reached a goal & became a local Rodeo Queen! He has become a mentor and friend to us both. We have gained an immeasurable amount of knowledge of horses than we could have ever imagined. Yannay’s training of our horse, along with teaching my daughter, has allowed her to participate in all the equestrian events she ever wanted to do & more. He helped them become a team!
I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for your horse needs!!! I could write even more….but if you’ve made it this far, I hope it helps you with a most important decision of choosing the right Trainer!

My gelding is almost 4 years old and has already gone through about 4 months of training about 6 months ago with a different trainer. When I got him back from the first trainer he just wasn’t to a point where I was comfortable riding him. He was extremely reactive, cinchy, bucked at the hitching post and spooked at what felt like every little thing.

I decided to put him back into training as I just wasn’t knowledgeable enough to fix these issues. I reached out to Yannay and explained my situation and what I needed.
I also told him I wanted to be actively involved with his training as I had not been at the previous trainers due to time and distance. Yannay was completely understanding, has explained everything he has been doing and why. There has been a huge difference in my gelding already. Many of the issues I had before have been resolved and Yannay is teaching me how to be a more calm and balanced rider.

You can tell Yannay is passionate about training horses and getting them to be willing partners. His goal is to make you and your horse form that partnership so that you both can enjoy the rides together.

He keeps open communication with you on where your horse is at. He is very direct in his communication but in a good way. He doesn’t sugar coat things which I appreciate. He will tell you the truth not what you want to hear and again I appreciate that. I know some may not but I do.

I highly recommend him as a trainer, his horses are well taken care of, he works with you on your goals for riding and how to achieve them. It’s been an overall great experience!

Side Note: I rode my gelding for the first time today, I was like riding a completely different horse. No issue at cross ties, no issue saddling and when riding he felt balanced and collected. It was an overall great ride and I am excited to see how much more my horse will continue to progress!

I've known Yannay for 4 years and I've used him as a trainer for both young and seasoned horses. He is one of the best when it comes to colt starting, as well as, getting both rider and horse ready for the show pen. He is a high energy guy, that wants his clients to be as commited as he is, but also wants to make your experience fun and enjoyable. He is gifted with the ability to read the horses well, and is a calm assertive handler, which I believe makes him so successful with the colt starting. He understands confirmation, and will give you an honest opinion as to what he believes your horse would be the most successful at. I highly recommend his services.
