My last doctor stopped accepting my insurance so I went to willow oak. It took them over a month to even schedule me for an appointment and I was told before I would be able to get my medicine in my first appointment. The day before my appointment, I was told I would not be getting medicine at that point (despite the fact I had already been off my medicine for over a month at that point) because it was an ā€œintake appointment onlyā€. I did my intake appointment and the doctor had even stated that because I had already been diagnosed with ADHD and been prescribed my medication, it was very important that I get back on it soon. I then proceeded to wait 4 or 5 more months for an appointment due to them moving, the doctor being ā€œunavailableā€ for everyday except one a month, and the doctor quitting suddenly and then needing another. I finally went in for my appointment to get back on my ADHD medication and after telling them the medication I needed, taking a drug test and filling out MORE intake forms (because the one hour appointment wasn’t enough?) I was told that because my ADHD meds were controlled substances and I wasn’t experiencing withdrawals anymore, they would not be prescribing it despite the fact I’m diagnosed with ADHD and have had those prescriptions in the past. After about 10 minutes of back and forth with my doctor on how I just want to be on the medicine that works for me instead of trial and error for medicines that haven’t worked in the past, I ended up just walking out of the appointment and ended up having to see a doctor 2 1/2 hours away (the next week) and got my medicine the first day. I was seeing a therapist via telemed through willowoak for several months until my insurance ended. I loved my therapist and had actually started making progress with my PTSD but unfortunately I had to end them because I cannot afford to pay out of pocket. 2 months go by and I don’t hear anything from willow oak until last week when they called me asking if I wanted to schedule an intake appointment? When I told them I already had one and was doing therapy via telemed until my insurance ended, they were clueless and asked me if I wanted to continue appointments and I told them no as I am uninsured and can only afford my psychiatrist appointments for my medication. They then proceeded to send me a bill via email for $1,200 saying my insurance didn’t cover all 15 appointments for my therapy. When I called them they said it was due to inactivity of my insurance. When I told them that wasn’t true and I would not be paying due to their mistakes when billing my insurance and asked for details on the bill, they hung up on me and when I called back they refused to let me speak with a supervisor or manager and instead continued to hang up on me. After speaking with my insurance, they apparently used the wrong ā€œcodeā€ for the bill (they sent 3 months after the appointments had ended) and that’s why my insurance kicked it back to them and instead of contacting my insurance provider to see why it was kicked back, they chose to try to make me pay for the full bill instead. Do not go here!! They are unbelievably unprofessional. When working in the mental health field, you would think they would understand that treating their patients like they are incompetent could result in major mental health crises, but it seems like that is their intentions. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE SEEKING REAL HELP. They treat you like you’re crazy and laugh in your face when you call them out for it.

This place is a joke. The nurse is very sweet but the staff and the Dr's. are horrible. If you are looking for help look somewhere else. I usually don't write reviews but this place is ridiculous. After waiting a month for an appointment they canceled my appointment without notice. When I called to see why my appointment was canceled the lady answering the phone gave me the Dr's. Number when I called the Dr she laughed at me and asked me how I got her number. Then I called to reschedule my appointment the following weekday and they told me that I had missed my appointment. When I was told by the Dr that it was canceled. Then another lady got on the phone and started yelling at me saying that I was the reason the Dr wasn't coming back because I called her at her home and now because of that they had no Dr. Now. I was only doing what I was directed to do when I couldn't sign in to my appointment or reach the front desk staff because they had already left for the day. This place is extremely unprofessional.

This place is very unprofessional and not lgbt+ friendly. The front desk person, Nicole, is very rude. She refused to call me by the correct name, after being corrected multiple times. The communication is horrible. They would make appointments for me and not let me know about it until the day of. My psychiatrist treated me like a drug seeker when I told him that my current dose wasn’t working for me. This place isn’t great and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Willow Oak is a subpar behavioral health center. The staff(Nicole) at the front desk is extremely rude and unprofessional. The wait time for an appointment, is well over one hour to one hour and a half. Just like their time is important, they have to know that someone who suffers from anxiety and emotional distress, is more than likely suffering more with sitting in their office being subjected to the unprofessionalism and the wait in general.
I for one, would not recommend their services on the basis of negligence.

This office will not refill your medicine on time. It takes weeks and these are not medicines you can quit cold turkey. The nurse and front desk can not get a response from Doctor for the proper refills. They will ignore your phone calls and voice mails. The front desk is extremely rude and disorganized. The nurse responds by text messages. They will tell you your medicine has been called it when it has not been called in. The pharmacy has even advised me to fine a new doctor. My therapist Natasha is great however.

This place is a joke, NO ONE IS ON THE SAME PAGE! They treat you like a druggy (I was only there for a diagnosis of ADD) front desk is rude and uniformed. There is no higher ups to talk to like a corporate number. You can never speak to the Doctor himself only on a tablet in a small room. It's crazy! I fell sorry for people with serious mental health issues who would need them long term. DO not recommend. I can't even get the meds I was prescribed because NO ONE was on the same page.

I didn’t have a good experience at Willow Oak. There’s a big lack of communication. I was also ghosted by my therapist after my intake appointment. This isn’t good for patients who are struggling mentally. I don’t recommend this center. I’ve worked in the mental health field before and I haven’t ever experienced customer service at this low of a level.

I called to make an appointment , which nothing was available until over a month out , And the woman was extremely rude. Then I never received a reminder call. So I just called again to set try and set up another , again she was so rude . I mean, this is a mental health clinic. You never know what someone is going through . The LEAST you could do is be nice! It cost nothing to be nice .
