While on vacation in JT, I made the 40 minute drive to this sign at sunset hoping to recreate Kyuss's first album cover. Pretty happy with the result!

Last pic is looking towards the sign from my land.
I own 8 acres less then a mile from the sign. When I'm on my land I can see at least 15 cars an hour stop and the people get out and take a few pics. It's fun to watch.
If you have written on the sign and would like a better pic of your addition to it.
Hit Me up and I can get a better pic for you.

What can I say. The drive alone to this spot was incredible.

This is a must if you're a fan of the band Kyuss. It's not the original sign from the album with the same name as the sign but it's as close as you get. If you are not a Kyuss fan it's just a sign and probably of no interest for you whatsoever.

Rating the place as a fan obviously.

After living in Sky Valley most of my life, I think it's cool there is a World famous landmark here! A different kind of music has taken over the desert, now quiet cool desert evenings are often filled with Mexican Banda music at extreme volumes.

As a Kyuss fan I made the pilgrimage to the Welcome To Sky Valley sign a few years ago, and I'm long overdue for trip back out there.

The desert vibrates at a different wave length. Some people get it, most people don't.

Make the pilgrimage. The views are excellent and you can recreate the album cover.

When I knew we were going to Palm Springs on our honeymoon I was duty bound to make the pilgrimage to visit this site. This album has meant so much to me it was quite an emotional experience. As a kid from the green hills of North Wales, UK this spot couldn't be as far removed from the environment I grew up in and yet it felt like a homecoming. I even brought my copy of the album with me just for that moment. If you ever were into this album or Kyuss at all and you're in the area you simply have to visit.
