I was a patient/client here for 5 years (from the age of 13 to 18). I was forced to attend therapy, so I hated it at first; But, the staff there are very welcoming, understanding, and compassionate. I was lucky to have worked with two amazing women (Marlene and Angie) until my case closed in 2021. It was a wonderful experience, and I'd recommend this clinic to any parent, guardian, caretaker, etc. <3

We have been receiving therapy there at VYS for a little over a year. My son seems to like his therapist and I believe it is helping him over all. However, I am concerned some what because of an incident I observed. Where a teenage female had been escorted outside by law enforcement. Upon arriving that day, my son and I were curious why the police were present. We observed two officers communicating with the young lady. She was then walked out side. After checking my son in with his therapist. I went back out to my truck. What I saw as the situation grew more and more intense. Because of the young lady now resistancee. Now there was law enforcement coming as if there was a officer was down or being attacked. I began to grow afraid for the young lady.
The situation could have and should have been handled far different than what was witnessed by myself and other's. What was observed, was a young person becoming more and more fearful of the unexpected from the hands of law enforcement than has become far to common and tolerated. Because this occurred on a facility where our disturbed youth seek assistance with their personal and mental issues. I found it heart breaking that law enforcement were conducting themselves in such a fashion just to show support of each other over the welfare and safety of that young person that they were dealing with.

Most of the counselors and staff are really great at helping kids identify their emotions and develope coping skills to develope healthy habits and responses to the different struggles our kids seem to be having a hard time dealing with. The counselors and the behaviorists do a great job of communicating and being a support for not only your child, but the family as a whole. They are amazing about what they do and you can really see which ones truly love their job!

These people like calling CPS on you and creating horrible stories that never happened. Be careful taking your kids here. Enough calls on you and CPS could get involved and try to take your kids for any made up reason for money. They are in cahoots together. Work hand in hand. Don't believe a word they say.

I went to the address that shows above to seek help for my niece who has been going through a lot and was told they move from that location a long time ago. They didn’t even have a new address to go there instead. These are urgent times and I am very disappointed that those services were not easily obtainable. Also I called many time and there was no answer…
