When I was looking for a flight school I wanted several things. Foremost, I was looking for quality instruction, in-depth ground courses, and a culture that creates success. I have found all that I was looking for and more! My instructor Casey Weston, has been amazing. He is always willing to answer any questions and take time out of his day to help with any ground knowledge, as well as genuinely caring about his students. Although Casey is my flight instructor, I can attest to the fact that all of the instructors are this way. The ground courses have also exceeded my expectations, as I feel very prepared for any questions on written or practical tests. Lastly, the culture at Vertical Vision is one that brings success to students in every facet of their aviation experiences.

I started this flight academy in the spring and have loved every minute of it!! The school works really well with me and provides once and a lifetime time opportunities!! They have an excellent team that works hard to provide a great environment and experience!! My instructor Rob Benson has done amazing and has worked very well with me. This school is the best in Iowa, new advanced planes, maintenance in-house, and good prices on the aircraft! The instructors are the best you’ll find around.
Santiago has been my instructor and is very professional and has a great teaching style. No time wasted, you will be constantly learning! I had my first IFR lesson on the way back from my PPL checkride!
Great school, highly recommend, would give more stars if I could!

Adam is an incredible flight instructor—knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about aviation. He has a way of making every lesson clear and engaging, even for a beginner like me. Adam’s focus on safety and his calm demeanor gave me the confidence to tackle every challenge in the air.

He’s also just a great person to spend time with, almost like a brother, or well maybe more of a cousin, but you get the point. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your progress and makes flying fun, Adam is the one. Highly recommend!

I have been a student at this flight school ever since it was founded by Jason Yasin. They have been incredibly helpful and have great resources to help students ace the knowledge test through their comprehensive ground course that doesn’t just teach you the bare minimum to excel at the knowledge test but also information to make you a safer and better informed pilot. They also insure that you are prepared for the check ride through oral testing as well. They have a lot of airplanes with my training primarily in Piper Archers with many of them equipped with a Garmin-1000. They are incredibly flexible with scheduling to ensure that you can fly as often as you wish and at times that work around your busy life. They have multiple amazing instructors that always work in your best interest to make sure you achieve your goals. Working out of Signature, they have a great facility and people to make the flying experience easier for us pilots. In all, I recommend Vertical to anyone looking to achieve their dreams of becoming a pilot.

When my son decided to purse an education to become a pilot we started looking at schools all over the U.S. He knew he didn’t want to attend a college based program. Vertical Vision was at the top of the list for a final decision. He did choose this school because it was close to home, cost is reasonable, flexible schedule, and the curriculum of ground school. This has been a great decision. Meredith is professional and fun to work with. She has taught him so much and guided him to be prepared to take his written exam and check ride. I enjoy hearing about his flight experiences and seeing all he has learned. The staff at Vertical Vision have been professional and very helpful along the way with questions and guiding us along the way. We would highly recommend Vertical Vision Flight Academy.
