Worst experience I have had with a gym. You cant cancel a training contract in person (but you can start one there), or in the app. Only with their support email. I emailed to cancel on Dec 5, no response. Then 5 times more over the next month - no response. And they keep charging my account (I got the merchant blocked). But they keep running up the balance! They are probably going to report it to collections. In the meantime, they give me a hard time every time I enter the gym due to the negative balance. So I started telling them the issue is that their billing team is awful. This hurt employees feelings apparently, and now I am banned from the gym. Just wild. How about acknowledging and fixing my situation?

Don't trust these guys.

In response to the below reply: I have followed the cancellation process precisely and have not been told otherwise. Once you are beyond the first 6 months (which I have been for a while) it goes month to month. Once month to month, 30 days notice via email is required. I satisfied this on Dec 5 (and then many times since then). We are in Feb, and VASA keeps running up charges. it is messed up that cancellation is limited to email and the team doesn't seem to check it at all; and VASA is content to keep running up charges despite numerous complaints. If this is left unresolved I will be submitting a BBB and FTC complaint.

I love this gym. I’ve been coming here for three years now . They have great staff, very friendly !!! great trainers , variety of machines, variety of classes. You can attend different hours. It’s pretty clean for such a huge gym. They just renovated. They change the carpets. They put some new machines on and it’s really affordable, even if you buy the whole membership, even personal trainers are affordable and there are different ones with different backgrounds and knowledge so it’s really nice. It’s my favorite gem so far. .

love, love, love this gym but WHY are the stairmasters ALWAYS all broken? They’ll fix them and then a week later we are down to 2-3. I never get to use that equipment when I come to this location due to the line of people always waiting.

The lack of equipment maintence is insane. Only 1 of the 7 stairmasters has been fully safe and functional for the past 3 months. One of the other 6 broken ones has a stair that's been cracked and feels like it's about to cave in. I've complained about it multiple times due to it being extremely unstable and unsafe and they don't even put an out of order sign on it. I've been anxiously anticipating the day it cracks, someone's foot goes through it, they get an ankle/knee injury, and here comes a lawsuit. I keep being told they're waiting for parts, but this gym doesn't need new parts it needs new equipment altogether. I've bonded more in the past two months with fellow gym goers over the equipment negligence than I have in any gym over anything else in my entire life.

To put it into perspective, the staff has run out of "out of order" maintence signs to put on equipment and have had to resort to printing out a piece of paper thay says out of order. That's how much of their equipment is down. All of the cardio equipment creaks, squeaks, cracks, scrapes, clunks, and does pretty much everything aside from work properly. The sauna and/or pool is closed or down for maintence on and off consistently. The cable equipment catches, scrapes, doesn't run smoothly and is extremely worn.

Despite all of this, the staff has always been friendly, communicative, and helpful. I was only going to this gym because it's close to my house, but after months of having to wait to use equipment for it to end up still being broken, I'm probably going to go to a slightly farther one up the street that has updated equipment. Every other Vasa I've been to in Colorado has had updated and well maintained equipment.

I understand the staff is not to blame for the outdated and broken equipment. They just work there. Everyone has jobs to pay their bills. But corporate must really not like this location or something because the funding is clearly lacking. But don't take my word for it, look at the multiple other recent bad reviews going over the exact issues I've expressed above. You'd think they'd take action on something like this.

At the end of the day, people go to the gym to better themselves, regardless of the reason or method. The gym is supposed to be a clean, safe, functioning environment.

The people of Aurora deserve better.

Left 24 hour fitness for this gym.
For those wondering, no need to do so.
It’s pretty much the same with better lighting.
Machines are always down - will cancel in the next few months.

The members at this gym are a different vibe. As a gay woman I felt very comfortable as people would not stop staring, giving looks. Not a comfortable gym for everyone. Lap pool was sorta clean, really needs to be drained more.

The equipment at this gym needs to be replaced before a member gets injured. Every single time I visit this gym, at least half if not all of the 8 stairmasters are broken. Not only do they not function, the steps also often have holes in them or are so weak, they need to be replaced.

90% of the other machines desperately need maintenance or some kind of WD40. They squeak and still like they are also about to break. All of the equipment is wildly outdated.

I’m not sure what kind of standards gyms need to follow, but I doubt this place would pass a safety inspection.

And for a gym that makes millions a year, this is completely unacceptable.

Don’t get me started on the bathrooms… every location I’ve visited in Denver is disgusting. They do not maintain them at all. Trash all over the floor, flooding, moldy showers, moldy curtains. The spa/hot tub smells like feet… not chlorine.

The only positive thing about this gym is the staff. The people that work here are very kind and knowledgeable. I think the management of these gyms is the issue here.
