Atchison Valley Hope saved my life. I had tried living a life in recovery before, but it never worked out for me. When I hit a point to no return I reached out for help to Valley Hope in Atchison. From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed with such warm, loving compassion. The feeling of comfort and safety put me at ease and I knew from the very start something was going to be different. The staff is amazing. From the director all the way to the kitchen staff. I have never been treated with more love and respect in my life. I spent nearly 2 whole months as a patient and the tools I learned at Valley Hope with my willingness of participation, helped mold me to the human being I am today. That place is magical. It wasn't easy, but with the patience of my counselor, my Chaplin, my case manager, and all of the staff, I have been living the life of my dreams. Clean and sober. So from the deepest part of my heart of hearts Thank you Atchison Valley Hope ❤️ I love you all

I’m struggling to understand why this facility would get anything less than 5 stars. Valley Hope has truly changed my life. I called on a Wednesday morning and was in a bed by Friday. This is more than a facility or institution. It’s a home full of love and care. The staff are much more than “staff” even down to the cooks. They truly do care. They go above and beyond to listen, recognize and love. I HIGHLY recommend V.H. To anyone who’s truly wanting to live a life of sobriety. The structure, dynamics, medical care, post care recommendations and even down to the food is amazing. If I could give more stars, I would. Thank you so much Valley Hope for changing my life around. I’ll never forget what y’all have done for me.

I called on Friday to get information and possibly get admitted Monday or Tuesday. They told me they would follow up with me on the weekend and nobody did. I sent an email calling them out, then they called and texted. I tried talking to them, but nobody responded. I texted the next morning and still no response. I can only imagine what the treatment is like.

Valley Hope changed my families life in the best way possible. It all started with Kasey Kern who made the process of getting my loved one there so easy. She was so helpful, resourceful and knew all the answers to all my questions. I could tell she cared about them as a person vs. just another number. The staff felt so warm and the atmosphere was so understanding. I'm forever grateful for the support that helped my loved one kick alcohol out of their life.

Unfortunately Valley Hope of Atchison Kansas is poorly staffed. They do not have a licensed medical doctor on staff. They are over crowded and under staffed. I have been here for 12 days and have seen a councler for individual counseling twice. I have received no more information than I would get in an AA meeting. Sadly disappointed.

Valley Hope of Atchison is a God send! I was at my worst and Valley Hope was there when I needed them the most! That was 2 1/2 years ago and I am still sober and enjoying an incredible sober life! I have had many opportunities to go back and speak to the patient group and give back the love that Valley Hope and their amazing staff had given to me! A special shout out to our alumni coordinator Allison, she is our guardian angel! She is the glue that keeps this incredible recovery family together! Friends for life!

Every time I call with questions regarding my loved one's treatment the reception staff are very tight lipped. It seems as if they are trying not to spill some sort of secret information. Even though he has signed a release that information from the staff can be shared with me. Just the weirdest vibes from the staff. Very tight-lipped. Also, I've only called twice. Once to ask about the electronics policy and voice my concerns with him specifically and the other time to ask for his counselors name as I got a call late at night from someone claiming to be his counselor and wanted to see if that was normal. "Counselor" called me at 9:35 PM.
