Caps has helped me a lot during my time at UCSB and I still go regularly just to check in, but at times I feel as though it’s really just a vibe check. Looking back, sometimes I wish they could tell me the cold hard truth especially when I didn’t want to hear it. I guess I can’t really fault them for not wanting to take the risk and offending people by just telling them that they need to man up or whatever, but I just feel like sometimes thats the advice people need, even if it hurts their feelings in the short term. The appointments are also very far between.

Great experience here! When my mother passed away, they helped me through tough times. I work with a caring, empathetic, and talented therapist for over eight months on many different issues that I always wanted to address. It was one of the best decision in College. More students should utilize this great FREE resources.
