Shoddy as it can get! They take all of your electronic devices even devices you depend on for your pain like spinal stimulator. You only get help from outer patients if you are handicap. The place is not for the hearing impaired. The food is not diabetic friendly. If you have an episode with your health that you feel that you need to go to the ER they will absolutely refuse it. The staff are rude, unhelpful with no I’m empathy! If you are used to taking your meds 3x a day get ready for only 2x a day and that is if you get all of your medication! If you enter into their facility with and unsettled mine and are stress get ready for more. It is pure chaos with a skelton staff that is overwhelmed not well managed or trained. They are not forthcoming with any information about what you can expect. I am sure they get a lot of homeless, gangbangers and court order ex cons there but not all people fall into that category. You are treated like a criminal and you are being punished more that helped. It was traumatizing! They burnt me and I will never step foot in another rehab center and that is not fair to the ligaments centers! I could say a whole lot more but I hope I have made my point……

The women there were so kind! A majority of the staff members are very very sweet. The therapy classes are small so you feel comfortable sharing & you get a break every 45 minutes to exhale & process things. There’s a tech at sunset name, Angela she is the sweet as can be goes above and beyond for all the women. If you need something and she can make it happen, she will go out of her way to make sure you’re comfortable and happy. A majority of the therapist there are very sweet as well. Unfortunately, I got one that wasn’t so sweet her name is Sarah. She’s rude. Doesn’t really listen to what you’re saying and will tell you one thing in class but say something completely different a few minutes later. She’s very rude to the people in her process group which makes hard to open up. It felt like she’s just there for the job not because she genuinely cares about our best interest. You’re not allowed to have your phone in detox but when you move over to sunset about five days after detox, you’re allowed your phone. The nurses are very friendly. The cafeteria staff do not care about your diet. I mentioned at intake I cannot have pork It goes against my religion. It was even posted on my name tag, And they have pork about four times a week there. When they forget to make you a different meal, You’re just stuck buying things out of the Vending machine machine. The vending machines take your money sometimes and the owner doesn’t care, & everything in there is about double or triple than what you’re paying at the store. It just put a bad taste in my
mouth. Preying on vulnerable people who are just trying to better themselves. I’m not telling anybody do not try Turning Point. I’m just saying do your research.

Turning point was a great experience for me. Got me turned around and back on the right path. The staff was great in the ladies loft, most especially Adrene. She was exceptional! Not sure I spelled her name right, but hope she gets the recognition!

Ray in admissions is truly the best miracle maker. He is always on top of any patients I am attempting to refer to turning point. Any patient that I have referred there has had excellent things to say about the entire program. Thank you to all the turning point staff

I just want to share my experience with Turning Point. Going through detox wasn’t bad and it seemed like 2 different programs when you were moved out of detox. It Felt kind of like a bait and switch the Detox area seemed like the facility was nicer the food was definitely better but all of the staff were awesome The food in the next area they move you too seems not as well taken care of and the food definitely went down hill. The food tasted horrible and I believe it wAs all plant based and I couldn’t eat any of it except pizza night from dominos I would trade my food for fruit and snacks and bought a lot of Honey Buns. I could not believe that some of the awesome people there some 15-20 times. I understand that people struggle with addiction and the reason some keep coming back is so they can have a roof over their head and food to eat because Medicaid or Medicare was paying for it and when the money ran out it was time to leave. The counselors I had especially Mrs Lindsey was so awesome and truly cared and to a interest in her class I have lost part of my family because I could not afford togo to IOP and that is where I feel that people end up back as well because they set you up to fail. You have to pay rent for the place to sleep and you only go to group from 9-12 3 days a week and they won’t let you work for 3 months and curfew is midnight so you have nothing but time on your hands to do nothing but what you could be getting into. My daughter in law expected me to stay a year and it sounds great when you dint know how everything works and they look at your income and make sure u could afford it but we could not live off of one income. I am not blaming anything on my daughter in law because it was the best day of my life going there and I have not been this sober in 46 years. I will not lie I have had a beer here and there but not very often compared to a 15 pack of 16 oz bud light every night. u fortunately I have not seen my Grandchildren since the day I went to rehab and they both mean the world to me and my son told me he was so proud of me and I did exactly what they had asked me to do and he told me he forgave me and was not mad at me. But the next day I went to my Dr to get my prescribed pain medicine that I have taken for over 20 years and I do not abuse it and yes I know I am addicted to opioids but my Drs 3 of them do not reclined surgery. I hope that one day soon They will forgive me and let my side of our family back in their lives or atleast let us talk to and see our Grandbabies. I will have been sober for a year in a couple of weeks and I am so proud of what I have accomplished. I am so thankful for my wife and for standing by and supporting me after all the shit I have put her through the last 25 years. My son and Daughter in law have blamed her for my family situation and losing that whole side of my family because I told my Grandaughter that i would come and see her the day after I got home but then my son called and asked if we would just go eat dinner at a sports bar my second day home and I told him it didn’t seem like a good idea and I told my son to let me see what my wife thought about it and she asked if I had gotten a text but I had not but my daughter in law text my wife and told her that she didn’t feel comfortable with me being around her babies and that my Granddaughter didn’t need to be on this rolller coaster ride but yet she was the one that told her that I was in rehab and she was the one that put her in the seat. I called my son and asked if they planned on dropping the bomb on me at the restaurant and that J can’t be around the kids and he k ew nothing about it until i sent him a screen shot My wife was blamed for what had happened and everything going side ways but why wouldn’t my wife share that with me. I got really upset and just wanted to be alone so being stupid i went and bought some beer and other things and went to a cabin in the woods on the river and locked the gate and just wanted to be alone by the river next to a fire and it wasn’t a good choice🙏🙏

I really enjoyed my stay there. The staff was great. The doctors and phychiatrist knew more than me about my meds. They decreased a couple of them in half the milligram I take at home. I was able to sleep better there, even with the decrease, than I do at home. They took great care of me, especially my first full day there when I was so sick. Big shout out to Teresa who kept a great check on me through the night while I was detoxing. Roberts groups were great as he allowed us to really run the group as in an open discussion forem. I believe this allowed us to share without fear of being judged and made me realize there were others going through the same issues I am.

I wish I had stayed a couple more days and extended my detox as I'm having severe anxiety without the medicine I detoxed off of but I'm using the tools I learned there to cope.

I would recommend anyone with substance abuse issues come there where they will safety take care of your medical and phychilogical issues. You will be in a safe place where you will meet other great women. There were only a small group of women so we all got close. I give Turning Point a big thumbs up👍.

I forgot to mention they will get you there from anywhere in USA.
