When it was time for me to find a counselor I was NOT looking forward to it. I picked Lesa mostly because I lived close to her office. What a lucky break. I could see almost instantly that she was going to be the perfect counselor for me. She's been working with me the last three years and has helped me so much. She is supportive, encouraging, and very good at her job. I feel like with her help I've gotten so much better at practicing mindfulness, managing trauma on my own with EMDR, challenging thought distortions, communicating with my family better, setting boundaries, managing my self-harm ideation, and so many other things. She's been a constant for me during a period of massive change and has made navigating those changes a little easier. I love Lesa and am thankful she's been able to continue working with me even after I moved away. She is just so amazing!
