It is a great small school. Coming from Hillview Middle School in Menlo Park, I have been very impressed with the teachers, curriculum and also the facilities including great science labs. The level of resources for college prep and amount of clubs and after school activities is impressive for such a small school. Simone Rick-Kennel has been doing a great job leading this school since fall of 2021.

This is a small public high school that has many options to take courses that are dual enrolled, meaning they earn both their high school credit and college credit at the same time. It is a new school that was hit with the covid pandemic within their second year, so they are still evolving, and as such, are still in start up mode, meaning and you can expect hiccups. On the positive side, because of their small size and early stage, they welcome student and parent involvement as they become more established. All in all, my boys, sophomore year, have had a positive experience!

It's interesting to test a new school from the very start. Can say that for our family it works better than any other option except homeschooling :). Not everything goes as it was promised or expected, but overall, as a parent, I see a lot of benefits of that school. Classes are small, project oriented approach works really well, teachers are nice and professional, community is really appealing, school's space and project are superb. We especially appreciate Science and English classes, but can tell plenty of good things about the whole experience with TIDE so far.
