I was hesitant to do therapy via Zoom vs in person, but as it turns out I fractured my leg a few days prior to my first session, so doing therapy via Zoom became a necessity. I was very pleased with visit with the counselor I had chosen. The first visit it always a "getting to know you" session, but Cathrin was a great listener and interjected thoughtful remarks throughout the session as well. She seemed very compassionate, thoughtful, and wise. I think we will be a great fit and doing the first session over Zoom dispersed my unease with trying counseling this way.

Had one session. The entire hour was spent asking questions that could have been answered in a paper questionnaire. Was told if my insurance didn't cover the I would pay $200. Apparently, when they charge insurance, they charge them $395. Well my insurance is saying no, we're not covering anything. So now I owe an extra $200 for a session I got nothing out of. Go elsewhere or make Super Double Sure that your insurance will cover.

I never write reviews but Thrive Works is a huge scam. I called to discuss an appointment and I decided during the phone call that Thrive Works is not for me, as they seem to have no knowledge in cluster b personality disorders, so I told the man who answered that I would not be booking an appointment. He pressured me into booking an appointment and would not take no for an answer, and he assured me that I would be able to cancel should I find somewhere else for therapy. I booked an appointment and canceled a few days later when I found something else. I asked numerous times if I would be charged for anything and I was told no. Imagine my surprise when a $40 charge from Thrive Works showed up on my debit card statement. I knew it was a mistake to give them my card number to "hold" an appointment, I immediately called and asked to have my payment information removed from their system. They assured me that it wouldn't be an issue and they would close the "account" that I didn't even know I had, and that they would not be charging me for anything else. I never received a confirmation email but the lady on the phone seemed to think she knew what she was doing so I trusted her. Today I was charged $40 again, for a service that I never received. So I have heard nothing but lies out of Thrive Works. I do not recommend this horrific "mental health practice" scam. I know $40 isn't a lot to some people, but if I can't get a refund, I can't eat or get gas this week. Truly horrible organization
