Wonderful opportunity for children & young adults that do not take interest in sports or have an interest both. It's also an opportunity for adults to get involved & interact with the youth. Mrs. Diane has done a wonderful job taking over this position. Mr. Corbin was in charge when my son first started & he also did a wonderful job directing at the Theatre & has been missed. Thank you to everyone involved for your time & patience with our children.

Great shows casts are great. Watch curtain when you exit just close it. Also lights reflect off windows on stage. Especially liked Little shop of horrors. Not to many cast members to follow who they were

We love Theatre Atchison! It is a great local Theatre. There are programs for kids, which are hugely popular and always well done. It is a community Theatre in all senses of the word, bringing people from the area together. There is a ramp for those who have trouble with stairs, and parking is always fairly easy. The kids love the concessions at intermission, especially the glass bottles of pop!

I decided not to go to the KC Rep's production of "A Christmas Carol" this year as I have found the Rep's latest use of technology, within the Carol's production, has taken away from the warmth of the story-line. So, this season I opted to try something new; local entertainment at the Atchison Theater's production of "It's a Wonderful Life." I enjoyed the clever mise-en-scène and the "heart" of the play, which showcased the emotional struggle between George Bailey and Old Man Potter, and sometimes, even the struggle within themselves. The balanced delivery of their lines with the silence in-between, action and inaction, were very impressive. Well done, gentlemen!
In addition, each character - some with multiple roles - were able to fully step-out and allow their character to shine from the exposition until the final scene when George comes home after his epiphany with Clarence the Angel (who also did a great job in his role!) and is surrounded with loving family and friends. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of physical theatre towards the end. Lots of action and no wonder some of the characters were panting in the end. It was a warm production which left one feeling happy, with the desire to walk up to Clarence and give him a pat on the back saying, "well done Angel! Congrats on the new wings!" This was a great way to begin the Christmas season!

Very comfortable seating with great views of the stage. There aren't as many bathrooms as I would have expected for a venue that size. The snack bar is very affordable

Atchison has so many great qualities. Theater Atchison is one of them. I recently saw Little Shop of Horrors and the two leads blew my mind. It was completely unexpected. Also the sets were fabulous!
