I had quite a negative experience here. I went to my counselor seeking help in healing from and protecting myself and my family from my emotionally abusive mother. Instead of taking what I had to say seriously and trying to understand, the counselor belittled and even mocked my feelings. I eventually stopped seeing her and am currently seeing someone else, but my experience here had some very negative effects on my mental and emotional wellbeing.
