It's hard on bicycle tires #1. Starting in Burney, is barely interesting, for the first few miles. Spring is the best. Their Facebook website, is not user friendly, in that they won't let you post GSRT pictures, on their page. " Only Admin can" and it's very seldom and when they do, they're asking for $.

Tuesday Jan 17. Deer just off trail. Snow geese heading out north. They rest here. This only a tiny section of the trail. I'll be taking more pics of the other sections as weather improves.

Have not been on the 'rails to trails' Burney to McCloud. The website for this trail has not been updated. Has it been completed yet, if anyone knows From what the website says only about 40 miles is walk/rideable, but that was from 2015 - 4 years ago. Any body have more recent info? TIA

Wonderful developing Rail Trail with 30+ miles (working towards an eventual 80+) to walk, bicycle or ride your horse. Enjoy a large variety of natural scenic settings as you travel the path of that the McCloud River Railroad. This is preservation of the region's heritage at its best.
