I have had several sessions, mostly good. However during my last couple sessions I felt like I wasn't being heard. After having a baby I came to her for help with PPD. Everything was fine until I asked for paperwork to be sent to my job to further continue my treatment. Since then I was threatened with terminating our sessions and disrespectful behavior I don't deserve. She definitely is rude and lacks professionalism.

Ms. Lorraine is by far the best counselor I've been to, and I've gone to several! I like that she gets down to the root of your issues. She give you a healthier perspective of looking at situations. She also gives you the tools to form positive habits, opposed to the negative ones you've been accustomed to. If you are really serious about getting free from your past and present mental struggles, then Ms. Lorraine is the counselor for you. She may challenge you, and it may not feel good at first, but she's there reassuringly walking you through it. You'll be better for it in the end.

Lorraine is a true Godsend. Her compassion, strength and understanding have helped me to begin a positive move in my life. She challenges me to consider things I had not thought of before. While sessions can be upsetting and draining, I am in the right hands. She is priceless to me.

I met Ms. Lorraine through referral a few years ago and began sessions with her that have impacted my life tremendously. She is so encouraging and always has a touch of care and compassion but still maintains her professionalism. I have talked with her about things I had never felt save enough to express with anyone. Thankful to have connected with her and walk this journey of healing together.

The only reason I don't want to give her 1 star is because I want to be fair and open minded and give her credit for the positive that she did. She started off by immediately telling me that she is not my friend and only there to help me therapy wise. She made it very clear that she had a strict policy concerning no shows and and the fees she charged. It was a big part of our introduction. I should have turned around then but I assumed it's what all therapist tell their new clients. I later found out that it was actually unprofessional and if nothing else, rude. Nevertheless, our first couple of sessions were quite pleasant and I felt she asked me the important questions to get to the bottom of my issues. Because of the depression I was dealing with I stopped going to her for several months and when I finally was able to be social again I reached back out to her, set up an appointment but she forgot about it after I showed up and it had to be rescheduled again. Of course there was no discussion of of a credit of a fee for the missed appointment made by her. I rescheduled and this time asked her could I bring my son along. My son was the source of a lot of the stress I was dealing with. During this session she spent the entire time bragging about how wonderful her own children were. I felt horrible because the last thing I wanted to do was have a "gang up on my son" meeting which could further push him away. I thought maybe she would only talk about her own children for a couple of minutes. But it was literally the entire session she talked about herself and her "perfect" family. It was at that point that I decided maybe I would get my son his own separate therapist. I then a little later reached out to her wanting to schedule an appointment where I would like to talk to her about possible FMLA. She didn't respond so I waited another day or so and sent her another message which again she did not respond to. Now my phone has a feature that tells me when someone has read my messages and I was clearly able to see she read them. I waited a few more days and still nothing. I finally sent her one final message telling her I thought it was unprofessional that she was not responding to me. As I assumed she did not respond to that one either. My feelings are super hot because I don't understand why someone would ignore their client knowing they are in need. She has definitely put a sour taste in my mouth and don't really want to start the process over with another therapist.

Edit. Your response has absolutely nothing to do with my complaint so I'm not sure what the purpose of it was. But if you think it was ethical and moral to completely ABANDON a client for nothing more than going a couple of weeks without scheduling a session, you don't deserve to be in your profession. You don't know what the hell I had going on during the 2 or 3 weeks I went without seeing you. And you didn't even bother to ask nor seem concerned in the least. It seems you only want to apply your rules to your clients but not yourself. Clearly, your clients are a simple number and date on the calendar and not actual people. Shame on you!!!!

Ms. Lorraine is excellent at giving advice! I’m retired from the army. I’ve had a lot of experiences with counselor’s. I can honestly say Ms. Lorraine knows when to speak and when to listen. She’s very observant and understanding to her clients. She’s the best counselor I’ve ever had! I’ve never in my life looked forward to homework until I started seeing Ms. Lorraine. Her homework helps me be the best me that I can be!
