My son started here about 10 months ago and we absolutely love it. He had his first tournament this past weekend and it was so nice that coaches and other parents were there to support. They really make you feel welcomed and part of the family. I would highly recommend this jiujitsu team to anyone. They are big on respecting parents and staying safe outside of practice such as in school or while with friends. We are new to California and did quite the research on surrounding gyms, I am beyond glad I was lucky to find such this great gym.

Sensei Sammy is a great coach. He gives 100% to you if you try and want to learn. He doesn’t give any shortcuts, so be prepared to work. All his student’s belts are legit and earned with consistency, technique, and a humble student mentality. I’ve been training with him for ten years and have held my own against world champions and often get compliments on my jiu jitsu. He’s high level in judo, jiu jitsu, and wrestling and shares everything with his students. True, well rounded, martial artists are created here.

What a great experience we have had the last year and highly recommend this school. If your an adult, teen or have a child this is the school for you and them. The coaches are carrying and compassionate to every students development. The competition team and training shows at every tournament. I see that it's cleaned daily, the coaches are constantly monitoring for proper hygiene. Respect and integrity are taught.

This is a great place to train in all fighting styles of MMA. They offer classes from beginners to advanced in jiu jitsu,judo and mma. Great price for classes compared to other local gyms. All around good place to train and positive influence on the younger fighters. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to advance their fight game. Private lessons also available.

I put 2 stars only because while they have great coaches and a very knowledgeable Sensi, the Sensi is very hard to work with when it comes to finding the right classes and times. My son had other sports activities (which he seemed to frown upon) and he wasn't very accommodating with allowing him to attend classes that were needed while dealing with other sports. It was a shame because my son had been there for over 3 years and was getting great training while winning multiple tournaments but felt neglected at times by this Sensi because Jiu Jitsu was not his main activity. If Jiu jitsu is your priority this is the gym if it is one of other activities you are your child is involved in then get IN WRITING that he will accommodate your schedule or your child might get the same neglect by ONLY the Sensi because he has to miss classes because class times and days weren't available to you.

Hands down the best bjj in town. There are some "champions" in Covina and West Covina. Some claim to be Champions in life, but only 1 gym has stood the test of time in Covina. And that gym is TEXEIRA. OUSS!!!

Are these guys closed? I've called here and there when I get tired of my gym and they never return calls. The voicemail isn't even a proper business voice greeting, just the generic robot.
