While in a crisis situation with my child, I called around to several therapists in town. Some have never returned my calls & others were incredibly rude when they did get back to me. But not Susan! Although she was not a covered provider with our insurance, she replied to my call AFTER business hours. Susan gave me very valuable information to help with my child & pointed me in the right direction to find him the care he needed. She also gave me information to help me deal with my own anxiety after dealing with my child's crisis. I feel Susan is not only very knowledgeable in her field, but also a very compassionate & empathetic person. I'm so glad I found her when I did!

Susan is fantastic. I called her looking to find a councelor for my teenage daughter. She was very patient and kind on the phone and asked me about the situation. She very patiently listened to my situation. I asked about ins and as it turned out, she was not able to accept my insurance yet she still talked with me for almost an hour offering any help she could.

It was clear that she truly cared about the well being of my daughter. We talked for a while and then gave me a few names of counselors that might take my insurance.
She may not know it but she made this concerned father feel more at ease, and it touched me so deeply that she was so caring and kind even though we had never met before.

I highly recommend Susan Maxfield. She is smart, wise and very kind and caring
