Save your time and seek metal health care somewhere else. I was transferred by Kaiser. It has been months now without getting prescribed my medications. Waiting months for them to receive my records. Two months they had records which they didn't review so unfortunately she couldn't prescribe. Missed my last appointment and never heard back. I am barely able to function day to day without meds, let alone keep bothering their office for help. I lost months digging a hole deeper into depression instead of out. I had to submit an emergency transfer back to Kaiser to get the help I need. Lack of communication and appointment follow up. Do not go here.

I’ve reported Dr. Nallamothu (152 negative reviews) to the Medical Board of California. Here is a portion of my testament:

“I had a phone call appointment with Dr. Nallamothu scheduled at 4:25 pm on 09/25/24. I received a call at 4:53pm PST and it ended at 5:03pm PST. We first discussed my sleep as I have been struggling with getting sleep for more than a year. I am currently taking seroquel as she prescribed per our last appointment. I shared that it was working well but the dosage may be too high. She then prescribed 60 25 mg tablets of Seroquel. She began to move through the conversation as if she were rushing it or was trying to conclude it. I had pressing matters to discuss and shared that I was having self-harm and suicidal ideation. She asked if I had any plans and I said no. I was also very surprised that she did not conduct a suicide assessment (such as the C-SSRS.) I continued to share that I am experiencing spiraling, harmful thoughts of self-criticism and how much emotional pain I’m in because of it. She asked if I was able to get my medical records sent from my previous outpatient program and I said that I had completed the forms. She checked during our appointment and said that it was sent but was not looked at. This was disappointing to hear because I’ve been sharing how much I’ve been having difficulty with these thoughts and the possibility of having a ADHD diagnosis. (While in a previous facility, I was taking medications for ADHD symptoms.) She proceeded to say that we will talk about it next time. This did not feel medically sufficient as I made it clear how much I was suffering. I believe it is unprofessional to not be prepared for the appointment such as not checking my medical information before the appointment, or at least look into it during the appointment. I gave her my honest feedback about my experience with her. I did state that I do not want to discredit her because I understand that she had the medical license and not me, but I believe my words hold value as well. I shared that I’ve had awful experiences with psychiatrists in the past and felt that I didn’t really have a clear plan as to how I’m actually being treated. I even suggested that I may get TMS and ketamine therapy. She replied in a way that seemed like trying to do ketamine therapy would be too much work. I know that ketamine is a controlled substance (which I stated in the call) and that it can be abused, but I am simply curious and am running out of options. She began to get frustrated and angry with me and ended the appointment with “I am not arguing with you.” and hung up.
I was distraught, shocked, and triggered. Of course I am angry, but I do not want to let my anger skew my judgment. I am most importantly worried that she may neglect a patient the same way she did to me and that it was the last thing they needed to give them a reason to commit suicide. I am passionate about working in the mental health field because I wanted to be the person I needed for someone else. “

Two stars are correct because one star would give them dignity they don't deserve. SO everything mentioned about this young lady they have working the front desk by all empirical evidence appearances I believe to be true based upon my own personal experiences spanning about 12 experiences from 7 months of trying to show these people that Jesus is the way and truth and their way is falsely corrupted by power, money, politics-- the typical corporatism (sick care, capital generating racket benefiting from crime) trash culture paradigm. Over this time period there were mostly calls to try and retrieve therapist appointment date times and a bundle of in-person visits for initial signup and recent request for my state mandated discharge paperwork generated by activity with their clinic. Most of the call backs were because their texting system was not operating correctly.

The rude, unkind, arrogant, marginalizing, and much more young lady at the front desk everyone seems to be talking about. As patient, kind, loving, and filled to the brim with grace, truth, and mercy that I am, this young lady tested the boundaries with arrogant scoffing, chuckling, mostly angry bad moods, and recently has lied about putting in my paperwork to retrieve my paper trail from their doctor. As of right now, I don't have the privilege of enough time to write this in its entirety, but as God is my witness I am going to devote it to the truth and nothing but the truth (as I always do) and get it finished.

Some of the people at this clinic cause so many issues from treating patients like their rights and voices don't matter that they would do so much better for the world if they would just tell people to go sit at the " be still I am God" bench at Victory Chapel down at the bottom of their office and point them to whole unprocessed foods for functional medicine then to keep stimulating/stoking the fire of new souls over to the Criminal Justice System. This is due to their lost brain function from (for profit) their drugs and new monsters (who really than are the true monsters? I ask you.) They stimulate to hurt the general populace at their paroling

BTW i was only trying to get paper work for SSI disability and this young lady is trying to deny my paperwork I am entitled by law to have, so i will be sure to serve them the paperwork since they want to play hardball like the uncivil criminals they're.

The evil money trail of harming people for profit could be stopped. It would take the politicians to lose their bribes and /or not be elected. We PEOPLE can end this disgusting paradigm of capitalist evil filth. Why do we have prosecutors that hone in on & focus on poor individuals (very low level blue collar crime) trying to survive yet society allowed these wicked evil markets to become entrenched into our society whilst they commit hippocrates violations with wool over the blind acting like they adhere to his code of ethics and he is thier father? Such a let down of a society that allows corportist's to fascist engineer human thought with social engineering etc so they can continue to grow capital whilst everyone else has to play the game they paid the politicians to put into law. Ensuring we're too stuck (*or sick from their praemeditatus malum of poisoning everyday Americans right under our noses/ FDA bribe a lot) on their rigged hamster wheel

Somehow, we got to where people are brainwashed/herded with propaganda to believe that there lies only the choice between socialism or capitalism as virtuous and good, and there is no other. Most people are intelligent and know there is a balance, but they're left with little more than one corrupted choice of a party to choose over another one. Well you see, this is why we have many true Christians who know they don't belong to this world, its not because they're delusional according to your corrupt medical code diagnosis book, but its that they know they have an enteral home that is so much better than this corrupted and perverted world. A heavenly home that is not corrupt and perverted.

If I could give this facility a negative rating, I would. I called them asking for a referral for extra help and they discharged me, cancelling my appointment via text message. Dr. Nallamothu is a vile person who refused to prescribe me adequate rescue medication and downplayed my issues in every single session. This practice sent me to seek emergency treatment and still billed me for it. Horrible experience, they should be sued.

This is the WORST possible healthcare provider available in Southern California. If you have Kaiser, like me, and get referred to be seen here then I would more than happily tell everyone to STAY AWAY. The lead physician, Dr. B Nallamothu is the most unprofessional and unempathetic health care provider I have ever known. I have been using mental health care services for 20+ years. Of course, you see some doctors who aren't the best. However, not only is this doctor not the best, she is the worst I have ever had the displeasure of being treated by. She is cavalier when talking to you about your issues, she constantly pushes your main goals to the side, and worst of all she is late to every session. Not just a little late either. She has been more than 20 minutes late in every session I have had with her. There is also a packet of the most redundant paperwork that must be filled out before you even get to see the psychiatrist. And guess what? They don't even look at it. None of the issues that I had written out on my paperwork were ever addressed or brought up in any session. I had several appointments scheduled this month that were cancelled. And don't expect a heads up about it. They cancelled on me less than 18 hours before my scheduled appointment. When I asked why, I was given an "I don't know" by the receptionist. When I asked to reschedule sometime soon, I was given "The doctor told me specifically not to reschedule you sooner than a month from now". So they cancel last minute, don't tell you why, and you can kick rocks if you want to get seen about any pressing mental health issues sooner than a month. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and don't give this place the chance to disrespect your time or your mental health.

I have had positive experiences with all appointments at this group. Dr. NALLA is a kind doctor. She listens to issues, she is diirect and caring. As a psychiatrist, her role is prescribing medication if appropriate. She monitors the effects of the medication by appropriately spaced appointments or responds to a phone call if I have a concern about the medication effects. If I need to talk with her before my next appointment, I am able to schedule an appointment quickly.

I see other comments about waiting past appointment times. That has happened, infrequently. It is connected to Urgent circumstances with a patient who may be in crisis or an urgent situation. These issues do occur in this field. I make a point of not scheduling an important appointment /meeting too soon after my expected appointment end time.

The staff is efficient and pleasant.

I also see Melanie Carpenter for therapy visits. She is caring and understanding.

I'm glad to have this facility in my area. I recommend this group.

If you care about your mental health, stay away from this place. Doctor doesn’t care for your needs and mental health. It’s obvious by the way she doesn’t even look at you and appts last less than 10 mins. Oh, and if you’re on disability be prepared to not get paid in time because they have a 14-21 day turn around time for paperwork to be filled out & on top of that you have to mail it in yourself and pay for them to fill it out. Even though you’re supposed to get paid biweekly? Make that make sense!!! All in all, I am just shocked this place is still in business by all the reviews I’ve seen and from what I’ve experienced.

If you make an appointment you must block out 2 + hours out of your schedule. According to the receptionist it is a common practice to double book. After waiting for more than an hour during my first appointment I thought maybe it was just a fluke. It happens to the best of doctors. But on my second visit I waited for just over an hour then when I inquired was told there were still two patients ahead of me. The waiting room filled to capacity and several people had to stand. One poor elderly woman whose appointment had been before mine and was still waiting told me this is standard operating procedure and she was going to look for another doctor. The receptionist’s candor was appreciated but when I asked if I should just always plan on coming late to my appointment was told that I would be marked as a no show and would lose my place in line. Needless to say I walked out after an hour and reported the treatment to the VA (this was a referral from them) who is now in the process of removing this office from it’s list of referrals. As you can see from the other reviews this is the way they do business. Double booking should not be a common practice and gives the impression that it’s all about cramming the most people in so they can make maximum bank. There ate many good doctors out there who will treat you with respect and not treat you like cattle. Find them and steer clear of this office.
