I have been seeing Jenna every couple of months for 3 1/2 years and she is 110% professional. She is extremely intuitive when it comes to massage therapy. Mix in her years of experience and training, and she becomes the ideal massage therapist!! Jenna is a genius when it comes to oils that calm you and your system and uses a gentle holistic approach. I have gotten to know Jenna through the years and HIGHLY recommend her. When working with Jenna, a genuine friendship unfolds, and you are more than just a client.

Ever since graduation from college to do massage, and having a practice for many years I find myself really picky about who works on me and if I can’t find a good practitioner I would find myself not getting work for years at a time. Always disappointed on the work. I am so pleased to have found Jenna. She is skilled and intuitive. I am seeing benefits from just a few sessions. It is exciting because as a rock climber that keeps wanting to progress even being in my 40’s it is nice to find a practitioner that can keep help this old body stay together.

I discovered Jenna 3 years ago at a convention for dental hygienists. She was set up to do mini sessions and I pre-booked with her. In that short 5 minute session, I knew this lady was gifted and have continued to see her regularly since then. Jenna is the most intuitive and skilled massage therapist I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. I always tell people, “you know when you have someone rubbing or scratching your head and they just know where to go?” .. No words need exchanged, she just knows and listens to the body. I get pretty bound up in my shoulders, traps, and head/neck area as a hygienist, and Jenna always works out the tissues that are stuck down. I appreciate more than anything that she’s always investing in continuing education: so far she’s used the massage gun on me, CBD, magnesium, a variety of essential oils, and cupping to name a few. She’s a wealth of knowledge and a gift to our community. I considered moving out of town, but honestly there’s no one like Jenna around, and that speaks volumes.

Jenna was distracted. She appeared to have no real technique and it felt as though she would forget what she was doing while in mid act. While massaging my left foot she would suddenly stop, walk around the table, slather oil on my forehead (note: she didn't massage my forehead - she just slathered oil on it. In fact, she applied so much oil to my head and face that my boyfriend thought I took a shower because my hair was slicked with oil when I got home), and then forget to massage my right foot. She left entire parts of my back untouched. She was chatty, asking personal questions throughout the hour. She was apparently a "deep tissue" massage therapist, but she barely applied pressure. When I requested a bit more pressure she became defensive - claiming her knowledge of proper technique - rather than just being professional and polite by obliging me. At least 15 minutes of my hour massage she wasn't even touching me. She was too busy walking about the room tinkering with things. The last 5 minutes of the massage she held my forehead with one hand and held my belly with the other (strange or is that just me?) and coached me on how to relax and let go. Mid way though this "relaxation" course her cell phone began ringing FULL VOLUME. And she spent the next few minutes fussing with her cell, checking her texts, before she left.

Smart Therapy itself has a very warm and inviting atmosphere. I had Kiya, one of the massage therapists, work on my lower back, as past accidents have caused me to have chronic pain in the region. Her deep tissue massage helped to relieve this and she was able to offer advice on exercises and stretches to help with preventing my back from tightening up as well. Great experience overall. Highly recommended.

Overall, I wasn’t extremely impressed with this business. My appointment was at 6:00PM, which was after the hours of the building being open. (I wasn’t told that when I spoke with the receptionist, but she called me and left a voicemail letting me know someone would be down to open the doors for me once I got there.) So the day of my first session, I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out my first-time paperwork & ended up waiting outside the building for over 15 minutes, until a maintiance person let me sneak in. I had called both the office & the counselor I was seeing directly and both times I was directed to voicemail. Being 37 weeks pregnant, standing outside the building for nearly 20 minutes with a bloody nose wasn’t the best first impression. As far as my actual appointment went (I asked for communication tools so I could better speak to my family members - this was my reason for scheduling the appointment) I was told to take a magnesium supplement & set healthy boundaries. All basic information I’ve read before on Google. I felt the counseler, while a good person at heart, was a bit disorganized and didn’t offer me any new insight. I will not be back. Side note - I also called three times to cancel my next scheduled session and no one seems to answer the phones at this office. It’s a game of phone tag, which I find extremely frustrating. Maybe someone else will enjoy their services, but it was not a great fit for me personally.

I can’t believe Cody, Andres, a licensed therapist, would actually ghost a 12-year-old child!!! From doing this, my child refuses to try another avenue! He no longer trust that they will care about what needs to be discussed.
