Amazing Dog Trainer! Highly Recommend!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sits Getting Real! From the moment we started working together, their expertise, patience, and genuine love for dogs were evident. My dog, Ella was struggling with crazy amounts of leash reactivity, including pulling, and barking and Amanda provided us with personalized strategies that made an immediate difference.

They were always professional, punctual, and took the time to explain everything clearly so I could continue reinforcing the training at home. What I appreciated was their positive and compassionate approach, which made the entire process enjoyable for both me and my dog.

Thanks to Amanda, Ella is now happier, more confident, and well-behaved. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled and caring dog trainer!

Amanda initially came to our home for a one-on-one session which completely set me and my puppy up for success. Her personalized approach helped us address specific issues, which made managing the crazy puppy era that much easier.

We later attended an agility and leash class, which was a game-changer. Not only did these sessions help my pup overcome her fears, but they also boosted her confidence and overall socialization.

Our terrier mix, Ella, had lots of leash reactivity issues. We had been through a few different trainers to no avail.

I googled and found Amanda. I filled out a lengthy form, she set up a consultation, and we had a long conversation. It was clear that she had taken the time to read through the lengthy form, and had questions ready for our talk. She listened attentively and was very engaging.

From our first private training session, she had our toddler dog wrapped around her finger. She taught us very basic techniques to positively enforce Ella’s good behavior. We saw a drastic turnaround after the first session.

We had two more sessions following in different locations to give Ella a variety of experiences. Amanda was so personable, professional, and full of useful common sense advice to help us give Ella confidence and security on our outings.

Amanda has truly given us the tools and techniques to change Ella’s experiences in the world. Highly recommend!

Amanda and Tomas are incredible! I was first introduced to them when I was fostering. I was struggling with the dog I was fostering and I needed some advice. I had gone to a couple different trainers, but I felt like no one was listening to me and they were using methods that I did not feel comfortable with. I was starting to feel discouraged when the rescue offered to have us go to a session with Amanda. After one session everything felt better! I was feeling confident and so was my pup. The work we did with Sits Betting Real was what allowed me to eventually make the decision to adopt my foster. Every few months we go back to a session because both myself and my pup love it so much. I cannot say enough great things about them!! If you are feeling lost with your pup, want to brush up on some manners, just brought home a new puppy (or whatever the case may be) Sits Getting Real is the place to go!!

We just concluded 6 private training sessions with Amanda and could not be happier. We have tried out different trainers and different methods before that didn't work well for us, so we were so happy to find Amanda and her training style! From the initial phone consultation, I knew we wanted to work with her because she was very patient, understanding, and non-judgmental.

Our dog loves her and listens to her (way more than he listens to us) and she was always willing to work with us on all issues. She was never lazy and never gave up which I really appreciated. She could sense when we needed a reset or needed to pivot strategies which was very valuable. We also felt comfortable going to her in between sessions with questions or further guidance.

We are in a MUCH better spot now than we were when we first started training! I never could've imagined this progress that we've made. Because we love Amanda and believe in Sit's Getting Real's training, we plan to continue with the group leash classes and will considering boarding with Amanda just because we trust her completely!

My wife and I clicked right off the bat with Amanda; our dogs also felt her warmth from the get go. Her ability to apply positive reinforcement helped our dog Onyx become significantly less reactive towards other dogs in the elevator and on the street. Instead of rushing out the door for his daily walks he now waits patiently for until I tell him it’s time to go out; same for meal time and at traffic lights. I highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a dog trainer that rewards positive actions.
