My husband I just rescued two dogs from a shelter. In just a few days you could see these very young dogs had been through something. I reached out to Sit means Sit Dog Training in Littleton and received a response from a sales person. I asked if there were any ā€œforcedā€ methods used to which she said she didnā€™t know because she ā€œwasnā€™t a trainerā€. The idea that it was even a possibility to me was a big red flag, so I had decided to go somewhere else. One of the trainers reached out to me and reassure me that they do not use force, only E collars. Express my concern about their sales person, not knowing what their methods were and not rolling out the fact that ā€œforceā€œ was used. The next day he sent me an email telling me that after reviewing my response, I was not a ā€œgood fitā€œ for.ā€Sit means Sitā€

Wow. What are they hiding? Just because I question the sales person not knowing their methods and expressed concernā€¦

I really dodged a bullet. We took all these dogs and made a commitment to keep them safe. If asking questions like this is going to upset them and have them turn away my business. What does that mean?

Absolutely fabulous experience with Sit Means Sit for our lab girl Daisy. She's a wonderful dog but we were really struggling to come up with/maintain training for her exuberance. We signed her up for a 2 week board and train program. She is like a different dog. She is much more relaxed as she now knows what we want from her, and now we know how to explain it to her. I can't recommend this training facility highly enough!

I just completed four sessions of training with two of my dogs, and I can tell you, the experience was so much more than I expected. I worked with both Judson and Blaine, who were both incredible and had different strengths and approaches that helped me build the big picture of what kind of relationship I want to have with my dogs. They were both very responsive when I had questions and were able to modify or emphasize certain aspects of the program to meet my goals. I really can't say enough about the whole team at Sit Means Sit!!!

Everyone at Sit Means Sit South Denver was absolutely amazing with Perry and me! The patience they showed us was incredible. I highly recommend them for all your dog training needs. I have a 90-pound dog whoā€™s wild and crazy, and I needed help to calm him down a bit. They did an awesome job getting us on the right track for success. Couldnā€™t be happier with the results!

Gratitude to Sit Means Sit South Denver for helping to train both Kaia (7 month bernedoodle) and us, as puppy parents. We are so pleased with the amount of growth we were able to achieve in just 4 lessons (with the ultimate 1 on 1 package).
We loved how the trainer, Bud, was able to meet us where we were at and make high level yet obtainable goals for the next lesson. We canā€™t wait to continue following up with refreshers and tweaks as we aim to get certified as a therapy dog when sheā€™s old enough!
Only challenge for us as humans were scheduling our classes in the 5:00/6:00 time slot. (Popular time for many I would assume). ā€” with Collin Jones.

I love these guys. I was/am new to rescuing, and the first few weeks with my pup were stressful to say the leastā€¦ mostly because I didnā€™t have the right education or understanding of working with a rescue, nevermind a Working Breed (the rescue had completely mislabeled his paperwork, but I love him with my whole heart nonetheless).

After calling every possible training facility and trainer in the West Metro region, expressing major concern about Shadow having possible aggression issues, Jon + Judson + Blaine very patiently heard me out, answered every question I had, put my mind at ease, and also showed me that he does not in fact have aggression issues, just had some fear and needed to have his confidence built up. This was a stark contrast to a ā€œprofessional trainerā€ (I will NEVER do business with nor recommend Canine Dimensions, particularly Summer Rhodes) who basically told me: (1) my puppyā€™s behavior was beyond unnatural, and (2) I was not the right person for this dog, which was devastating to hear.

Turns out my pup is a total love bug, very intelligent, and these guys were and are critical to my boyā€™s development and learning.

Thank you guys!!!

I had a great experience getting trained to train my dog, Malex. My trainer, Judson Brown did a fantastic job of getting to know me and my Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd/German Shepherd mix. The 1st couple of sessions were great basics/e-collar training and after that I was asked what I wanted to work on. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit Dog Training - South Denver the owner, Jon and Judson. Malex and I can't wait to come back for the free refreshers. Thanks guys!

My English bulldog finished a 5 week training in the end of June. Although he does well with indoor commands and leash walking, when we go outside the total opposite happens. The one specific training I wanted to work on was his reactive behavior towards other dogs. I feel like this maybe couldā€™ve been worked on a bit more in training rather than the basic sit and stay commands. I was told I would be able to go out with my dog confidently after training but he acts worse than he did before training. The last two sessions I was asked, ā€œwhat needs to be worked on?ā€ and I kept voicing how bad he reacts towards other dogs. I wish I could say Iā€™m confident in taking him out now but I am still worried when we go anywhere in public. I bought the leash they use in training and when we went to the vet he was acting so out of control, he was choking himself and his tongue was turning blue from this. I just wish his reactive behavior wouldā€™ve been worked on more but I will keep trying!
