I was casually looking for a horse for my mom and stumbled across a gelding listed for adoption through Shiloh Acres named Toothless (from the movie How To Train Your Dragon). He was a big, black, draft cross that I thought would be a good fit for my mother who just wants to trail ride. I showed her the listing, and upon discussion with my step father, was told that my mom would need to wait for more funds and would be passing. About 6 months later, I again saw Toothless in a rescue listing, I decided to go meet him as my two Thoroughbreds were not yet trail worthy, nor big bodies enough for my (ex)boyfriend. I set up a meet time, and when I saw him in the pasture, I was totally in love before even being close enough to touch him. This big boy doesnโ€™t just look at you, you looks into you. He came home and has since outlasted the boyfriend, and my mom is beyond regretful for not meeting him the first time. He is my most reliable, trustworthy, steady mount. I use him for everything from Mounted Patrol, to trail riding, to putting beginners and advanced riders alike. He is my best friend, and my bouncer in the pasture. After adopting him, and re naming him Thor, I began training for the rescue, as I love what Amber does and why she does it! Iโ€™ve adopted a second horse from her rescue for my daughter, and have loved helping other get a good โ€œeducation โ€œ that might help land them in loving forever homes. Amber has an amazing passion for what she does, and has helped so many horses in need. I highly recommend contacting Amber at Shiloh Acres for your next equine partner!

I rarely do reviews but these people were wonderful. Adopted two ponies and if I had more room would go back. "Vanelope" and "Buttercup" are great additions to our family.
