I have known Sheri for the past 5 years or more in her professional capacity as an expressive arts therapist. I’ve attended many of the sessions she’s led, both in person and virtually.
I also had the privilege of being part of a group of people experiencing this therapy alongside a herd of horses. This added component of equine therapy was fascinating and profound.
I can barely articulate how gentle and genuine Sheri is in her guidance of creative arts therapy. She facilitates a calm and connected circle of community with seemingly no effort. People are able to open their hearts and minds to releasing emotions: sadness and joy, doubt, fear, grief, trauma and excitement, at a level of creativity they may not have known they possessed. All the feels are there! And you’re supported by a compassionate “instant” community!
Doing this same work with the horses was a unique experience that was powerful in a different way. I felt so open that day that I felt a great connection with not only the herd of horses, but with the people in the group (whom I’d never met before), and all the other animals I encountered on the ranch. I can’t recommend Sheri’s work highly enough. She is a very, very special person who has changed my life and my art practice as well.

Several years ago I did an Equine Assisted Therapy with Sheri and it was wonderful. For me it was a truly spiritual connection with the horse and my soul. I learned so much about myself. I have also worked with Sheri through her Expressive Arts offerings. Sheri truly loves and cares about what she offers to the world. I highly recommend the experience.

Sheri's work is something indescribable. She has a way of drawing things out of people that is unexpected and so needed. Her artistic acumen and non-judgmental, free spirited personality put students and clients at ease allowing them to be comfortable and vulnerable in their unique journeys. By being authentically her, showing real raw emotion and demonstrating techniques and mediums for her students to try out her classes are a sacred space to spend some time and move through what ails you.

I have had several courses with Sheri which were so gratifying and creative. She has a great program to help with trauma and loss by acquainting one with horses and working through your personal trauma, grief, or loss with the help of these intuitive equines. She is also a professional artist and can bring out the creative vibes in anyone. She is incredibly sweet but very professional and astute in her approach to trauma and other emotional states, such as grief and loss.
