Coming from a traditional hispanic family, therapy was always something that was taboo. So growing up, I never considered it an option to improve my mental health. As an adult now who goes to therapy, my life and perspectives have changed so much and I have Janice to thank for that. She is patient, she listens, she is warm and inviting, and she genuinely cares.

I also think it’s important to note, I am a Latina woman a part of the LGBTQ+ community who struggles with anxiety. I only mention this because finding someone who didn’t make me feel judged played a big part in my search for the right therapist. This is a safe space (:
