We've been working with Allie since we moved up to the Bay Area in 2022 and it's been one of the best decisions we've made. Allie is absolutely amazing - I truly cannot say enough good things about her. We've worked with lots of dog trainers for our reactive pup Mick, and we've had lots of mixed (and some pretty terrible) experiences, so finding someone I trust to work with our dog is a tall order. Allie has absolutely blown us away - I'd recommend her to everyone. I truly feel so lucky to learn from her! Her approach to working with dogs is brilliant, and full of so much care for both the human and the dog.

Allie also truly loves every dog she works with. Her care for each individual dog is so evident and it's made me feel so comfortable working with her. She treats each dog as a unique individual with unique training needs, rather than applying one approach. Our dog is nervous around strangers, but she's always so excited and happy to see Allie. This is truly the biggest relief when it comes to boarding - finding some one I trust to care for Mick felt impossible for the longest time, until I met Allie. We drive from San Francisco out to Turlock to board our dog because it is so so worth it for her to stay at such an amazing location with such an amazing trainer!

Bella had trust and behavioral concerns following 2 separate traumas (an incident at a local dog daycare and someone in the family trying a correction technique recommended by a famous dog trainer). She had multiple triggers including not letting us touch her or put a collar on her and it was close to us almost ready to give up. Allie and Jill were thorough in evaluating her. They took the time she needed to bring predictability back into her mind and normalcy into our life together. Our mutual trust is strengthening day by day and we are back to playing and going for our daily walks! Bella did a board and train with Allie for almost 3 months and Allie sent me videos of her progress every few days, so even though I missed her terribly, I knew she was right where she needed to be to get her mojo back. Jill focused more on additional separate training vs. boarding and training to help Bella understand the connection she needs with play, fun, walks, the flirt pole, etc. to de-stress even though Allie started it all during the board and train. Now I take one day at a time and lots of patience with Bella and while she’ll never be 100% the dog she was before these incidents happened, she is about 85% there now after approximately 6 months of work with Allie and Jill. Like humans; dogs have stressors so watching and understanding them then working on them makes Bella the best version of herself she can be. I’ll be forever grateful to both of them and all they’ve been able to do and teach me plus watching her with her sister Sable makes me laugh multiple times a day. I’d be happy to speak with any current or prospective clients if they’d like to speak with someone live too.

I have been working with Allie since May 2024 and this is one of the best decision I've ever made. She really is one of the best in this industry.

I had previously worked with other balance trainers with my first dog who's very fearful before, and thought I have had the right knowledge to raise another dog. However, after my second dog, Eddie, came home to us, it has been a constant struggle. We were struggling to connect, and even though he was somewhat obedient, I can tell he was not happy, and in those important moments where I really need him to listen, it's always a battle. As he gets older it has become even more challenging, given that he's now a fully grown golden retriever. He still only listens to the command when there's treats (and it's not even every time), and he's still very mouthy whenever I play with him. He loses interest if there's any sort of correction. Overall, none of us are happy about this relationship.

It wasn't until I started working with Allie did I see a change. With Allie's help, I finally am able to truly enjoy life with Eddie (and a huge bonus: with the things she taught me, my first dog is actually becoming less anxious and fearful, which NO trainer in the past were actually able to do before). The way she approaches these "problems" might not seem related at the beginning, but it will make sense at the end, and it absolutely will create a far more stronger relationship between you and your dog, which is actually why all these "issues" become easier to resolve. Even though we're only at the beginning of our "training," I already see a huge change in the relationship between Eddie and I. Both of us are much happier than before, and there are way less conflict in our lives now.

I also have to personally thank her for giving me the permission to enjoy my dogs again. We used to live a very very structured life because that's what we're taught by other balance trainers, and that if we don't keep structures in our house and on our walks, we will ruin the dogs. I honestly had forgotten how fun it is to live with dogs -- the very reason I get our dogs in the first place. Now we're in a much better place, without being overly structured and militant, and my dogs are happier than ever, instead of being ruined.

I honestly can keep writing, but I hope my point is already clear -- if you are struggling with your dog for whatever reason, look no further. Sentire (and Training Without Conflict in general) IS the best option if you're in Northern Cal!

When I came to Allie asking for guidance on how to train and create more confidence in my dog, she helped me find confidence and calmness in myself through training with my dog. I learned that when you’re calm and confident the bigger the chance your dog will too. My dog came in stressed, nervous, and worried, to becoming a strong healthy and confident dog. And we have become even closer since. I can not recommend Allie as your trainer enough, she was amazing and always helped me feel heard. We are so grateful to Allie for having the patience and persistence in helping our dog be who she is today. The experience was simply life changing because I no longer have to worry about my dog stressed out I can come home from work knowing she’s confident in being by herself from time to time. Thank you Allie!

I have been training with Jill Andrews over the last 6 months with my border collie puppy, Gypsy.
It has been a pleasure learning all the tools and techniques to successfully train my dog in a way that’s pleasurable for both of us. Jill has helped me create a great foundation of obedience in my dog that we can build upon as she ages. Now that I know the “game” to use to properly train, I am confident that I can continue the lessons taught in-person at home between our sessions. Gypsy LOVES training with Jill and is so excited every time we meet! I am now considering another dog and know we will train with Jill each time we add another pup to the family!

Allie has helped myself and Tillie a Frenchie, make such impressive strides. Our walks were miserable before, she would dart out at cars, bikes, and people, not to mention dragging me along for the ride. Now we walk with so much ease, and actually enjoy the time outside. We also had issues whenever we saw another dog, jumping, screaming and just plain outta control. Thanks to Allie and her Associate Jill, who took over while Allie had her baby, we are now able to see another dog and not make a scene. We also worked on obedience, sit, leave it, wait, No, and Let’s go commands which has helped the whole process come together . We are both still a work in progress, but have come a long way ❤️

My boyfriend and I are a huge fan of Sentire K9! We recently took our dog, Storm, to a board and train with Allie.

Storm was great at the do’s- sit, down, etc.
But we were really struggling with the don’ts - don’t eat rocks, don’t chew up rugs, furniture, shoes.

We also wanted to improve his recall. He knew what ‘come’ meant, but we did not know how to proceed if he didn’t feel like listening.

Allie helped us with all our goals. Now Storm’s a much better listener, and understands the rules.

Post training, Storm gets sees when he follows the rules he gets more freedom. It’s a win-win! Plus he loved board and train, we called it his summer camp.

I highly recommend Sentire K9 and working with Allie for anyone looking for good quality hands on dog training and a trainer that will take into account your specific goals with your dog.

My rescue dog and I are huge fans of Allie and Jill! They are knowledgeable and experienced, and I feel like my dog is totally in great hands, whether for training or boarding, with them. As a first time dog owner, I really appreciate how they are able to quickly pick up on dogs’ innate tendencies and drives and to use those in training sessions. On top of this, they are so loving and caring towards the dogs they work with, making every session a truly fun and positive experience!
