We’ve experienced multiple cancellations from the therapist, and there’s been a lack of consistency in the quality of care. My daughter was scheduled for weekly sessions since July, yet she's only seen her therapist about seven times.

Telehealth is supposed to offer convenience, but canceling without promptly rescheduling is unprofessional and defeats its purpose.

The best med management/therapy service I’ve tried.
Providers are very friendly and understanding. They do not push medications unless you want them.
It is very easy to set up and/or cancel appointments. There is a lot of time/provider flexibility, which I value a lot.
Communication with team is fast and efficient. They resolve issues quickly.
Cost is very transparent. They work with insurance and charge you before your appointment (which is better than having surprise bills).
Overall, I’ve loved this service since I started over a year ago and I will keep using it as long as I need to.

Horrible experience. Did not respect my time, did not listen to me and had no interest in my well being. Appointments would be confirmed the day before, the morning of, and then cancelled less than an hour before the appointment. Doctors not only canceled appointments last minute they also refused pharmacy requests to refill medication I’ve been taking for YEARS, they ignored messages for days and I had to get emergency 3 day medication supply from my pharmacy multiple times due to my psychiatrist’s incompetence at medication management. When I brought up these concerns the doctor sent me a message the next day saying he was dropping me as a client. The next doctor was even worse, despite making an appointment for medication management she spent an hour and forty minutes (it was only supposed to be an hour) asking talk therapy questions then at the END of the appointment she told me she “didn’t like” the medications I was on and wanted me to switch to a different very specific brand that was “not something you can get a rite aid you’ll have to go to a Specialty Pharmacist” I told her I had no interest in changing the medication I have been taking for years that was perfectly managing my symptoms with little to no negative side effects. She told me if I continued seeing her she would not prescribe the medication I was currently taking. The entire appointment was a waste of time and she made me uncomfortable, I very clearly said I was not interested in seeing her again. So I made another appointment with a different doctor (one last chance)who once again canceled last minute. When I asked why the appointment was canceled they called and told me the doctor looked at my chart and said I should continue treatment with the previous doctor I saw. When I said I had no interest in seeing that doctor again they said “maybe you should seek treatment outside Sensible Care” oh I will. And I recommend you do too.

I scheduled my daughter for an appointment- filled out all of the paperwork, cleared our evening schedule, only for her provider (Brar) to not show! Twice!

I reached out to Sensible Care, and it took them several days to respond but no one understood what happened. I rescheduled again because it’s been so difficult in finding psychiatrists with any availability.

Fast forward 2 more weeks- I took my daughter out of school early, my husband took a half day off, and lo and behold- another no show from the doctor!

I emailed them immediately after the missed appointment, and it took them A WEEK to email me back with a “Oh, we apologize. We aren’t sure what happened- let’s get you rescheduled.”

Yeah, no thank you. We won’t be wasting any more of our time. After two different times of waiting and adjusting our schedules to not have the provider show, we are done attempting to schedule with this service.

It is insane that if we, the patients, didn’t show to our appoint, we would be charged a $100 “no show fee”. However, the provider/service can inconvenience the patient without consequence with a “Oh, we’re sorry”- not once, but twice.

So unprofessional and inconsiderate.

Sensible care is unethical and will lie to no end. My wife trusted her therapist KIAH. It’s very hard for her to open up and be vulnerable. She is new to therapy and she was proud of her progress. That was until her therapist got lazy and instead of speaking through issues started using power points of generic charts through a zoom appointment. KIAH told my wife she knew the 8 week commitment would be a challenge with her work schedule. KIAH said not to worry just cancel as soon as possible and I will make sure you are not charged a fee. Well her flight cancelled and she cancelled her apt immediately. Which was still hours before the actual zoom. KIAH quickly went back on her word and charged a $100 no show fee. There is the first lie. The second was when my wife took screenshots of her canceling the appointment in case a fee was shown. Not once was there a screen that showed a fee. The customer service at sensible care then tried to lie and say the IT department says it shows a fee. Photo evidence was provided to challenge that. This company did not care. KIAH did not care. She lied to my wife’s face over $100. This is disgusting behavior. It’s about the principle and dishonesty. Imagine the damage they could do. Don’t go here.

Moved to Texas where they have one prescribing doctor.. I’ve been trying to get my medication filled for close to two weeks because they keep sending prescriptions with the California license and not the Texas license. They keep telling me to call the pharmacies or choose another. They said the pharmacy (CVS) didn’t have my medication in stock so I need to choose another. Called the pharmacy to just have them order the prescription and they informed me that they don’t even accept telehealth prescriptions for controlled substances. I asked sensible what pharmacies normally fill their prescriptions and they didn’t have an answer since they “have a high volume of patients they don’t keep track”. I’m pretty sure they aren’t licensed and are just collecting money.

The doctors and therapists themselves are excellent, but their website's listed availabilities and their actual availabilities do not align. Any time I try to make an appointment with my psychiatrist, I get calls and texts saying the selected appointment slot wasn't actually available. It makes scheduling appointments online all but impossible. It's not an issue with the receptionists either, they're nice. Their site is just buggy.
