So, it's been at Least 3 years ago.
I got a bank account because of the counselor knowing of my situation suggested I go there.
She retired.😔 I am glad she was able to, but I really had a repor with her. I forget her name. A Black lady like me.
I really appreciated her. She also got me the information about expongement fair.
I was too old for that but I appreciate y'all's assistance.
Anyway, I will be calling back Monday 30th ,2024 because I over qualify for Medicaid and the copay for salude is $120.
Copay for urgent care is $ 165.00. Not including the medicine.

An irreligious & non commercialist entity, AKA not for profit, & I like that most about them. Individual employees may have anarchist leanings or something in their private lives, however that's secondary. I hope & pray it remains that way--irreligious & non-commercialist. The name is reminiscent of the Second Chance Act passed by 43rd President George Bush. I wish the "programs" on the website, two of them in particular, were being taught, however the offered programs have changed. However it's all good & no organization's perfect. I feel no judgement @ Second Chance Center, however only ex-convicts should be allowed the services of the Center,(and just being in there is a service), regardless of the good intentions of any non convicts being there. Also, a limited degree of screening should be done of the type of people allowed in their transitional house--mentality & criminal mischief leanings. The games that people play are played here, too--much to the loss of clients or staff. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, including hell on 🌎 Earth. Without SCC, my life would be harder than it is, that's 4 sure. To top it all off, pro social events for people my age. ♎🎱✡️💯

Staff Jesse Inman hung up on my friend during conversation about housing and is be unwilling to help someone who’s trying to help themselves. Stated he had 10 people in the lobby and hung up. Does he think my friend’s situation is not important about housing. He’s going to lose this apartment because Jesse said he doesn’t have the time basically to help. How sad. Very disappointed

I'm currently in the depths of addiction, struggling every day just to get by. For a long time, I felt hopeless and alone, convinced that I was too far gone for any kind of help. That all changed when I found the Second Chance Center.
From my very first interaction, the staff treated me with incredible kindness, empathy and zero judgment. They listened to my story, validated my pain, and assured me that recovery is possible no matter how hopeless things may seem.
The programs they offer are comprehensive, addressing addiction from every angle - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. I've started attending group therapy sessions which have been eye-opening in helping me understand the roots of my addiction. Having a support network of peers who actually get what I'm going through has been invaluable.
While I'm still very much in the trenches of this battle, Second Chance has given me hope that I didn't have before. They've shown me concrete steps I can take to get my life back on track. More than that, they've shown me that I have inherent worth as a human being, addiction and all.
If you or a loved one is where I am now, lost in the darkness of addiction, I can't recommend Second Chance highly enough. Let them be the light that guides you to the path of healing and recovery. This place has the potential to save lives and I'm deeply grateful it exists.
