I’ve been riding at Edelweiss for almost a year now and i have never felt so welcome at a barn until I met Emma and Savannah. They do their best to make sure each rider is comfortable and confident in themselves. I truly found my home away from home when I started riding here. I spend any free time I'm able to at the barn. Whether its for horsemanship, lessons, or I’m just there to hang out I am always having an amazing time no matter what I am doing. You truly bond with the people and horses at Edelweiss. I am thankful to be riding here with trainers as great as Emma and Savannah.

My daughter has been dying to take riding lessons so when Edelweiss became our new neighbors we had to check it out! We felt comfortable from the very first time we met Savannah. She is awesome, and so is her program. She has kids of her own, so she’s a natural with beginners and working with kids! Her other instructors on staff are too!

We would like to add a horse to our own farm one day, so I love that my daughter is learning horsemanship and important basics of caring for a horse, and not just learning to ride!

Edelweiss Farms is a lovely, family-friendly horse farm in Athens, GA just 20 minutes from the University of Georgia. All of the horses living on the property are happy and content, well-fed, and cared for with access to 50 acres of pasture and fresh grass. Each horse is cared for and provided nutrition based on their specific needs and their owner’s preferences. The 12 stall barn has a hot and cold wash rack, tack room and mini kitchenette for snack storage. There’s an indoor and outdoor riding arena with access to a round pen for exercising as well. Across the street is a large park with miles of trails that can be accessed via trailering across the street any day of the week. The owner lives on site and spends most of her awake time outside, working with her horses or teaching students in her lesson programs. My own horse has been there for a few months and is paired up with other horses based on her and the other horses needs and personalities to minimize stress while out grazing and socializing. I am always informed of any concerns or updates regarding my horse, and should I be unavailable I know my mare would be looked after as though she belonged to the farm. I am very happy with all the care and work that goes into supporting all the animals on the farm, and I love having a fun and safe place to spend time with my horse.

I absolutely love this barn and the owner/trainer! It’s a beautiful facility that was just established in May after sitting abandoned for years. The improvements to the riding arenas, jumps, grounds, facilities are constant and I’ve loved watching it go from abandoned to the flourishing establishment it is now. Savannah/owner is incredibly knowledgable, kind, and cares so much about the horses and students it’s obvious in everything she does. I have a young OTTB who had a terrible case of ulcers and worms when I got her and she worked so hard with me to heal her - giving her her meds and scheduling her feeds out so everything would have the best impact. Not only that but she did her coat treatments multiple times a day and took such loving care of my girl she went from a rescue case to a happy chunky beautiful girl and the vets have been continually impressed! You can’t find her level of dedication and knowledge just anywhere. She is hands-on and checks all of the horses daily whether stalled or in pasture. I get updates anytime something comes up and I’m stuck at work and she’s honestly the only person in the area that I feel comfortable leaving my horses with. She also works with multiple vets in the area and has a great working relationship with them, an excellent farrier service, near-by trainers/judges/chiro etc, and the community as a whole. She goes above and beyond and is so sensitive and aware of each horses needs. Every pasture has automatic waterers and she keeps the pastures maintained and safe checking fencing etc frequently. She has taken in so many sweet geriatric horses as well and provided them the soft landing and extra TLC/work they need that most people won’t or don’t understand. Love this place. Edelweiss Equestrian opened earlier this year here in Athens and we signed our daughter Blakely up for riding lessons and she has fallen in love with horses and riding.

She gave up her other activities like dance and gymnastics to ride more than once a week because of how much she loves it here. I highly recommend this place! It’s a beautiful barn and farm right across from Sandy creek park and Savannah and her trainers are friendly and have great service and the horses are safe and well taken care of. Thank you!

Savannah does a fantastic job with operating lessons and shows at her facility! ❤️ My senior pony is leased out to her program and I couldn’t be happier with his retirement home. He looks amazing for his age and is loved by her students. I love seeing him get to be active during his golden years. 10/10 recommend this program!
