Al Gonzales is my therapist, a Veteran and is extremely helpful and therapeutic in many aspects of my life. In years past I had a doctor, there, who put me on multiple medications, he changed my life. I was a complete mess. Overweight, depressed, feeling worthless. Everything changed on the meds I was taking. For some reason the doctor was let go, later. I am thankful for that doctor, in that time in my life. I am thankful for Al Gonzales, now!

This place is awful and more deserving of being shut down due to illegal practices. Adele is the worst therapist ever, more concerned with financial problems than mentally helpful.

I really liked my counselor, but when I found out I owed $1200 for 3 visits, I canceled all further appointments. Before I started counseling, I asked the scheduler, the appointment desk, the intake counselor and my counselor what the fees were. None of them knew, none of them referred me to the financial coordinator. Since this is a facility for the community and has a sliding fee base, I thought I would be able to afford it. I was referred to this place by providers at San Luis Valley Health as the most affordable option. My counselor noticed the fees when I tried to make a 4th appointment and sent me to the financial person. She said my insurance would cover 80% of the cost, so I would only owe 20%. I cannot afford $80 a session either. A psychiatrist in Denver in private practice only charges $250 an hour, so $400 is ridiculous! Is this why our health care costs are so high? Is this why many people don't seek or get the help they need? I know I won't be able to afford counseling support now.

The SLV Behavioral Health Group - their facility, their doctors, and their support team - is wonderful! They have a pharmacy on site and call to remind you when it's time for your prescription refill; they'll even mail it to you! They not only made it easy to get the care I needed, but they actually listened and made me feel like more than just 'another patient.' I highly recommend!

I need help suffering from acute cPTSD and with undiagnosed ADHD. I was a crime victim at the bad end of injustice. They failed to recognize the ADHD and offered no help. Even with the understanding that I was crime victim who needed advocacy. Additionally the PTSD was uncomfortable until I began therapy and treatment after the ADHD diagnosis. I now know that slv behavior health disregarded the signs and was more than willing to toss me to wolves.

Doesn't make sense the way you have to be clean for 21 days from Suboxone! If you are going to be clean that long why would you want to go back on an opiate that is more addictive! When you're sick from detoxing you need help quick! Not 21 days later! This policy needs to be rethought!
