This company is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I requested an ADA accommodation for one of five metrics that were newly given to me to meet and not in my job description. HR Consulting's response was to shift me to part-time work even though I did not request this specific accommodation and could meet the other metrics and perform the other duties of my job.

Unrelated to the above, I was defamed by a manager who lied to get me fired. The "investigation" was started, and I provided proof that she had lied to my boss and others in an effort to get me fired. HR Consulting interviewed people under the manager who defamed me. These people had been given a free weekend stay in a Sheraton by that manager. HR Consulting never interviewed any of the people under me who were also witnesses to the action. After the investigation, the only conclusion they came to was that I had "raised my voice" in response to the manager's lies, but no action would be taken. (I am a naturally loud speaker, and I had been carrying the phone that recorded the situation so my voice was naturally louder.) Despite this conclusion, within days I was "let go." The manager still works for the company.

Since they dispute the above, I have attached redacted copies of my accommodation request (dated--the new metric I was given was 6 hours and 40 minutes of talk time for reference) and the notice of the move to part-time (also dated) in support of my version of events. If I could redact the video where the manager is lying about me in front of others and admits to trying to get me fired, and the emails/texts proving she was lying, I would post those, too.

SDHR is beyond a consulting business. We've had many opportunities to work with them (for a number of situations) and they always deliver. First, they helped us get all of our HR docs updated, in order and implemented. As a small business owner, it's very difficult to stay updated on labor laws and Etc. Second, they helped us through a difficult EDD claim appeals process (statistically employers lose this 98% of the time), but we won! Third, everyone we've worked with is brilliant and caring. Our company contacted San Diego Human Resources Consulting in order to address and clean up a few human resource issues confronting our business. Our initial consultation was with Linda Cortez, who listened intently to our needs and provided the services we need without being pushy or over-selling their services. We were then connected with our Human Resources Specialist, Cherie Beck, who worked with us on our particular needs and has been a great partner in addressing the issues we need to remedy. Specifically, she has assisted in: reviewing our current employee handbook and making any necessary changes; auditing our employee files to ensure compliance in all areas and proper record-keeping; and drafting current employee job descriptions.
