I recently took a Snowcat Operator and Winter Survival training course administered by Safety One. Instructors (Aaron & Mike) were phenomenal! Very knowledgeable instructors with real world experience. The things we learned and practiced were all applicable to my job and the potential hazards that I could encounter. I truly feel more confident with my snowcat driving/repairs and winter survival skills after this training. It was also a lot of fun. Highly recommend.

Before I retired in 2011 from Nevada Bell/AT&T, as a microwave technician, I went through Safety One's 40 hour winter survival and many 16 hour re-certification classes, for snow cat operations I used to reach our mountain top microwave sites. I always enjoyed the classes and the Snow Cat Shoot outs in California. Now I got to take your tower safety course for my new employer. I very much enjoyed this class much more than when I had to go through Pole Climbing at Pacific Bell's facility down in the LA area. Brad was a very good instructor and I learned a lot and was surprised at things I had already picked up from working aloft. When I transferred to Nevada from Pacific Bell to Nevada Bell, tower work was On the Job Training (OJT), not any formal training. OJT was what I originally had on both pole and tower climbing with Valley Telecasting in Yuma. I really was surprised when we got into the rope aspect of the training and how much force is excreted on a horizontal line. Made me think of all the times I had installed a mid-span drop wire to a house. How much my weight, ladder weight plus the sideways pull of the drop wire, puts on the messenger cable the telephone cable puts. I actually knew a telephone company employee who got ejected off his ladder when he cut a mid-span drop.

Thank you for all your training.

The training was very clear and thurough. The instructor was knowledgeable and explained tower climbing and safety at a good pace with emphasis on regulations. The hands on part of the course was awesome, with examples of the newest gear and latest techniques on climbing and rescue. Thanks for getting us up to speed!

The owner here is truly a stand up guy, although I have not attended the training, I have met the owner on 2 separate occasions. First time was a faulty fuel gauge and he brought me 5 gallons and would not accept $1 for his trouble. Second time was during the "bomb cyclone" when I though my pickup could make it home and I buried myself at 1am. Low and behold all of a sudden a snowcat is driving down the road and he had me out and safely home in minutes. The generosity and eager to help attitude would make me proud to be a client of Safety One.

My experience at safety one was this, get acquainted with the instructor then listen to the instructor cite regulations... Sounds boring right... Not at all, the regs were explained then examples, based off of his experience, were given to emphasize the whys. The class time was not just the instructor talking at you, but engaging your attention in a way that made the points that he was making, stick in my head. The practical exercises were just that, practical. These were situations you would find yourself in on a larger scale. Emphasis in these exercises was on correct procedure. Overall this course is one that I would take again.
