In 2015 I leased a horse born and raised by the barn owner, Amanda, that was absolutely AMAZING! She really should have charged us for the lease…We kept him on another property, due to our needs, and she was simply wonderful, even supplying blankets and tack for him when we didn’t have the right size when needed.

In 2018 I purchased an OTTB who we wait listed for a stall at Red Dragon. We were the happiest there than we ever could imagine! The individual care provided truly sets RDS apart from larger scale barns. The run-in stalls make a huge difference and the corner hay bins are something I have never found at another stable (they are expensive). My boy was well fed, safe, and loved on by everyone who boarded there. I also never felt guilty if I wasn’t riding every day; the drama was nonexistent.

I relocated for work back to DC in January 2020 and shipping plans for my gelding delayed due to Covid. Amanda took care of my boy just as I would and sent me regular photos and videos until I could get him shipped, about a year later. She prepped him for transport and even hand walked him to an adjacent property so he could get onto the rig.

If you want to keep your horse in your backyard, but can’t, come to Red Dragon. It’s like your backyard but better.

I've boarded my horse, Joe at Red Dragon Stables for 10 years. Amanda has taken such good care of him. Amanda knows horses and has taught me so much. She always makes sure Joe has all his needs met and that he is happy and gets to spend time near his "friends." Amanda goes the extra mile and treats all the animals in her care as though they were her own. I can't imagine a place where my horse could receive such personalized care. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good things about Red Dragon Stables. I came in as a boarder with my old mare a few years ago. The farm is close to where I live, close to our vet, and yet it doesn't feel like it is in the middle of the city. Amanda takes great care of the horses. She was supportive when I lost my mare last year due to age related complications.

I have since purchased a beautiful gelding from Amanda. I've known this horse since day one and just love how he's developed. Amanda takes great pride in her work and it shows in every aspect. I really can't say enough good things about being here!

Well three horses in and I have to say I am so happy with the care. All three were born here and my old mare is fat and happy. When the mare is pragnent Amanda makes sure I remember when she needs any extra supplements or treatments. No drama no judgment.

I bought my lovely horse Khal from Amanda that she bred herself. He was only 1.5 years old but was so well handled that he was a gem to load and lead and lunge and crosstie. I would recommend Amanda to work with any young horse to start!

I moved my Arabian gelding, CJ, to Amanda’s stable after he suffered a severe injury to his stifle. Sadly, I eventually had to make the tough decision to end his suffering. I wish I had found Red Dragon Stables sooner. The care provided there was excellent and Amanda is an extremely skilled, knowledgeable horsewoman.
