Briton is the best therapist I have seen! She is always a warm, understanding, sympathetic ear, while also gently pushing me each week to dive deeper and do the work to be able to know myself better and work toward my goals. Her focus on and expertise in "Parts Work" and Internal Family Systems has been a game changer for me. I truly feel like Briton and I are in a partnership, working toward shared goals - I feel cared for and supported by her completely and can tell that she sees me and knows me as an individual, rather than just one of many clients. Meeting with her is one of the highlights of my week (and that is something I have NEVER said about a therapist!) I would recommend Briton to anyone - she is amazing.

Briton is an incredible therapist that supports her clients with compassion, integrity, respect, and kindness. I have been working with Briton for almost three years. Overall, I feel extremely supported and have been able to make a lot of personal growth. Briton’s desire to make a positive difference in the lives of her clients is evident and makes her a great clinician. Briton provides a very supportive, non-judgmental environment and specializes specifically in evidence-based Internal Family System (IFS) work, which has been a transformative experience. I strongly recommend Briton’s services.

Over four difficult personal years, Briton has given me effective tools to understand my anxiety and embrace the sometimes-complex nature of my psyche. She is compassionate, empathetic, wise, intuitive, patient, and a great listener. Nearly everyone close to me is thankful for her work. I feel she has made a positive difference in my life and have highly recommend her counseling services to friends in need of mental health assistance.

Briton has been amazing to work with. She is professional, supportive, and caring. She’s especially helped me with my OCD and anxiety. I also went through, and am still going through, a huge life change. Briton helped me overcome the biggest challenges in this adjustment, while still working on what brought me to her in the first place. I’ve found especially useful the parts work in IFS (Internal Family Systems), along with some cognitive reinforcements. I’m so grateful for the support that Briton has given and I highly recommend her.

I have had a few therapists throughout the past few years and Briton is by far the best - I would even go out of network to continue being under her care. As a trans person I can say she is very LGBTQ+ friendly. I mean she literally helped me figure out my new name while transitioning and was a solid rock for me throughout my journey. She creates a very warm and welcoming environment - which is impressive given its a virtual session! Highly recommend anyone looking for a new therapist to contact her - you wont regret it!

Briton worked wonders for me when I was having a tough stretch the past year and half. She pushed me to explore and understand myself more deeply than I could've ever imagined. And even for someone who was skeptical of therapy at times, it was always worth it to know myself better and to be curious instead of fighting emotions. I came out of our sessions with the tools I needed to live a better life and I would definitely recommend her to a friend in need. I would for sure reach out again if I fell into another rough patch. Thanks Briton!

I’m disappointed to share the following information about Mrs. Sloan. I spent many months working with her. I felt comfortable working with her on processing my divorce and working on my PTSD, Depression, and anxiety. One of the first sessions we had, she explained to me that she was flexible with her cancellation policy if you give her notice and she mentioned working with you if you’re sick to avoid a cancellation fee. This seemed reasonable because of Covid-19. From my understanding, she would work with you if you didn’t make a habit out of missing her appointments or canceling last minute. I woke up one morning feeling sick and needed to cancel. I explained to her that I needed to cancel because I was sick and I didn’t think much more of it. She then charged me a hefty late fee. I explained my side of thinking that it wouldn’t be an issue since it was my first time canceling and it was because I wasn’t feeling well. She was kind enough to reverse the charge. At our next session, she explained to me that I wasn’t thorough in my texts that simply stated that I wasn’t feeling well and needed to cancel. She also said that I was acting entitled in inquiring about the charge. I feel that it is extremely unprofessional for a therapist to call their client entitled and I decided to stop working with her. I have since spoken to a handful of behavioral service providers who have all found the reaction she had to be completely absurd and inappropriate. I had spent many months developing a relationship with her and it resulted in her being argumentative, rude, and disrespectful. One professional I reached out to said it quite simply; in a therapist/client relationship, calling someone entitled isn’t productive and isn’t professional.
