We are checking their work with our clients and others. We will be reporting their work to the proper Gov officials. This will not continue using taxpayers' money and private funding with no help.

A wonderful idea, that helps others. We've had to use them in the past and no matter how little every bit counts these days. Seen it help many who need it. Even finding housing and jobs.

I want to redact the review I had on here before. Opportunity council and the YWCA has helped me in more ways than one. I was just looking for instant gratification and it's a process one that may take time or maybe more time than I had hoped. All I know is that between these two places they are giving me a life l.

I’d give zero stars if I could.
* Terrible “bedside manner.” Getting told you’ll have to be already homeless to take their aid (all with a smile on her face) is disheartening to hear, especially when it’s added that emergency housing is 5 years minimum out (“but you might find a place before then and you can come back here to MAYBE get help on your deposits if you come right when we open on certain days. 😌 By 9:10, we’re usually out of passes though. 😗”)

* Runarounds. You already referred me to these programmes and they’re not working out. Listen to us when we say nothing is getting done. Why do we have to already be homeless? I even hear attendants telling people who are already homeless an equivalent of saying “tough cookies. Want a bus pass while you’re here?”

* S L O W processing time. Why are there so many attendants in the front behind the reception wall? Do you need more social workers? The attendants seem to outweigh those who might actually be able to help. Or are you all procrastinating on services and applications? I don’t know how many times I had to pop in and ask the progress of things with just getting a shrug and a tsk.

* If OC is linked to renting assistance, put up a better phone structure so the call doesn’t just disconnect/ends. Let us know what is happening! If OC is linked to energy assistance, it only seems to be open 1-2 days out of the month and closed the rest. Instead of saying “ooooh it’s so iffy to call them ☺️”, maybe try to advocate for us better? More? Stronger?

I lost my iphone in the parking lot there and someone named Bart brought it inside the building. Later that evening I traced my phone's location on the "Find my iPhone app" and saw that it was in the building.

Business hours had ended but one of the cleaners kindly offered to look inside for me. We called it multiple times and the cleaner ended up finding it! Shoutout to "Bart" who brought my iPhone inside, and the cleaner who found it and brought it back for me!

You do have to constantly contact them to make sure your cases go through and progress smoothly, but besides that they really saved me when I was struggle at my most. Places like this really need more funding so they can afford to staff more employees because there is a lot of people who rely on these programs to survive. Overall, if your patient you will get help! Thank you Opportunity Council!
