Recently we brough a group of cub scouts to Disaster Preparedness.

Here are the comments - my favorite is the first one 🙂

1) Jason got a lot out of the training session. The material was all things the kids could understand and do on their own. Jason loves his emergency radio; he took it to school today just in case of an emergency!

2) Thank you for organizing this.
I got my CERT training from Michael Taylor. He is a fantastic trainer. Orhan was very motivated and happy when he got back home. He also showed us his disaster kit and radio.
I would recommend it for future scouts, too.

3) wasn't able to attend, but Chris LOVED this event. I would recommend doing it again. We bought new fire extinguishers yesterday based on the training! So thank you for organizing it 🙂

4) Thank you for organizing this disaster preparedness event. It’s the only one we’ve been to and I found it very informative as did my two boys. There was so much curiousity and interest from the boys. I think the speaker kept the boys and parents engaged and pivoted well to the audience. Recommend we do it every year 🙂

I’d love a copy of the full presentation.
We are motivated to make our kit.

5) Patrick was excited and told me that he learned a lot about different disasters

6) Hello. The event was great. Michael was extremely informative and kept the boys and really all of us engaged.

Thanks to MPFPD CERT and Michael Taylor who did a fantastic job. He did not know he was teaching a group of 4/5th grade cub scouts but did an AMAZING job pivoting and really teaching. Bonus the parents that stayed also learned A LOT. Highly recommend these classes
