Went there to get the hiking sticks and backpack. The gentleman who worked there on that day was so nice and helpful. He answered all the questions we had and gave good recommendations on the trails.

I've been shopping at the Mountain Shop since 1980 and was, therefore, quite surprised by the very poor customer service we received on 14 August 2024. Two staff members were rude and dismissive when we asked questions about products and services in the park. They appeared annoyed with our trivial queries and did not appreciate having their conversation interrupted.

Sold my cousin the worst pair of snow shoes. The shoes were unimaginably bad. They wouldn't even exchange it for a larger pair. Avoid this place

Cool place, if you forget some gear or looking to gear up you can do so within park limits. Prices are normal i guess. Staff was welcome.

Great gear shop for climbing, backpacking, hiking, camping and outdoor gear. Good selection, though definitely seasonally dependent. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. This is an outdoor gear shop. The grocery store is a few doors down, past the Meadows Grill. There are some reviews for the grocery store here, which is inaccurate and might confuse some folks.
