Mission Harbor was there for me when I needed the most help. I have healed mentally, grown emotionally & spiritually, realized my strength and areas for growth. I recommend "taking what you like and leaving the rest". It seems like people have a wide range of experiences here... I was not there for substance abuse. I found some groups very insightful while others were not for me. While I hate to say it, I found myself caught off guard in a community group setting. I think all of the staffs' intentions are honest and good, but like anything there will be politics and uncomfortable dynamics. You will grow here and find at least one person to be a support system while you work through the difficult parts.

Saw a review that said "good for addicts" but doesn't respond well to anyone who has relapses. Completely did respond to someone having a relapse after they reached out to the facility explaining the situation.

During my intake, they discussed multiple confidential and sensitive documents with me in directly next to and within ear shot of other patients in the waiting room. There was no privacy or confidentiality. Meanwhile, there was a caravan or unruly teenagers, dogs, and children running around like it was frat house. When I raised these concerns later on with the staff, there was no response. I asked them for a confirmation they heard me and simply said that I’d been discharged. It was clear that once it become obvious I wasn’t going to fork over a bunch of cash to them, they could care less about me. This place is a hot mess. STAY AWAY.

Mission Harbor really changed my life. For the first time in a long time I have been able to put some sobriety time together. The staff, owner and clinical director lead life by example as people with integrity, who honestly care and want to help and see others succeed. I love this place and I never want to leave. The atmosphere is top notch and sophisticated. If you get a chance to come to Mission Harbor, you are truly blessed.

A therapist named Colin told a patient that he had a lack of faith that they would get sober and repeatedly has shown lack of compassion or professionalism by laughing during sessions.

Mission Harbor,
I can't say enough about the staff. The concern they show for every individual is beyond my expectations. I have felt welcome from day one. The therapy I have received is exactly what I needed. I no longer have to be afraid, depressed, lonely or confused. I am so inspired by the staff I am seriously considering going back school to work in the same field. That all being said the past is the past and I see a bright future ahead of me. One day at a time is how I live. I still have work to do but what better place to be. Mission Harbor

Even months after treatment I continue to be harassed for payments when I wasn’t helped at all by this center. I hope it helps others but I was triggered and then not allowed to leave; good for addicts, which I am not but was treated as one with little free will. Do not recommend.

Changes is outstanding. Offers life-changing work in a beautiful facility. Entire staff is welcoming, engaging, inspirational, authentic. Environment is intimate (no more than 8 participants whenever I visited, usually 4-6) which gives everyone more of a chance to get to know each other, grow, share. My highest recommendation to anyone in need of a new direction!
