A Unique Gem Among the Usual Stops

Milagros Coffee Shop in Alamosa Colorado was a true highlight on our road trip from California to Denver, standing out in a sea of Starbucks stops. The café exudes charm and individuality, offering a welcome respite with its cozy ambiance and thoughtful menu.

Our server, Shiva (or perhaps Chevonne?), was as divine as her name implies. She made sure my chai latte was perfect and went the extra mile to craft my husband’s butter coffee just right. Her attentiveness added a personal touch that elevated our experience & we had a really interesting chat to her about traveling and her suggestions for the rest of our drive.

To top it off, 100% of the café’s net profits support local non-profits, making each cup of coffee feel even more meaningful.

If you’re looking for great coffee, friendly service, and a place with heart, Milagros is a must-visit. Worth the stop!

Good coffee. Try their grain bread. The ingredients were fresh. The day I went there was only one barista so the coffee order took time.

Excellent selection of drinks and local goods, spacious area to sit with friends or work on a project. Check out the trinkets and gifts they also have.
Also, perfect place to refresh on a road trip....

Very cute coffee shop!
Just the right coffee culture vibe.
There is a little bit of sourness. Maybe the shot was underextracted.

Visited in September 2024 and was really happy with this independent coffee shop that helps support many services in Alamosa and the San Luis Valley. Now that I know about it, I'll make it a point to stop every time I am in the area.

Blackberry Fry Pie was tasty. It is basically a fruit turnover that has been glazed. It would pair well with coffee or tea.
Mixed berry smoothie was very good. The creamy texture is based around the yogurt and almond milk. It was a small cup (priced appropriately), so if you can eat a lot get two. No pictures of the smoothie because I drank it too quickly.

Good atmosphere but the young crowd running this place is terrible at customer service, the guy announcing orders needs to speak up and actually announce names so we don't get confused several people were trying to figure their order out then it was the drink if you're going to charge for drinks at least fill it all the way to the top unlike in this photo and the parfaits were frozen still. And i had to ask twice over 40 minutes for a bagel...
