We were on the Big Island for a month this summer and both of my kids took lessons from Amanda. At the beginning of the summer, my daughter did not know how to take breathes in between strokes or do the back float. By the end of the one month, she was able to do both and loves being in the water. Amanda is methodical, patient and great with kids. Wish we stayed on the island longer to get more lessons from Amanda!

Coach Amanda is truly a great instructor. I’ve been to many instructors in the past and they tend to make things too complicated. On the contrary, Coach Amanda always have many easy sound bites for the all the different strokes. Fly is the hardest stroke to learn for many people and with her soundbites, i learn mine in just one day. Breaststroke is another one that many people think they got it right but in reality they miss many fine details but Coach Amanda corrected me and make it work with her soundbites. Even on freestyles she corrected me on some fine details one time when i was practicing in open water in Honduras. With back strokes she will provide some props to make sure you learn it right. I’m really appreciative of her guidances, that’s why I’m writing at length this review. Definitely the best swim instructors of all time.

I had an awesome experience with Amanda during my all-day PADI Mermaid course. I came in with very little knowledge about free-diving or underwater photography, and Amanda taught me everything that I needed to know in a very relaxed and positive environment. Her number one priority was safety (but she also gave great tips for capturing fantastic photos!). Ultimately, it was such a cool experience and I would Mermaid with Amanda again anytime ♥️

What an amazing experience taking swimming lessons from Amanda, the mermaid. Not only did I improve my stroke, but I swim faster!!!!!! Amanda's ability to demonstrate and explain swimming techniques are so easy to understand and follow. I had a lot of fun and looked forward to our sessions!!!
