Very bizarre and unprofessional experience here.

My partner and I reached out to request couples counseling. We corresponded with a counselor who acknowledged the general topics we wanted to discuss and also acknowledged my partner on the email thread. After some back/forth, this all led up to the three of us scheduling a phone consult midday during the week. So, my partner and I took off time from work so we could be together during the consult call. Upon connecting with the counselor, she told us she doesn’t work with couples, and that she would refer us to someone else. () Seems like that should have been addressed much earlier on in the process (maybe the second couples counseling was mentioned) vs going through multiple emails, scheduling attempts, consult call, etc.

All in all, a very odd and negative experience that felt extremely unprofessional. We are taking our search elsewhere.

I highly recommend Luna Counseling Center. I've been seeing Jill for almost a year and she has been phenomenal in helping me through my miscarriage and subsequent pregnancy. It can be hard to find a therapist that understands the ins and outs of loss, infertility, etc. and I'm so grateful that this place exists to provide such compassionate care to people experiencing these challenges.
