One of the most powerful take aways is how much Heather truly understands our dog's disposition and has helped me to guide her gently, appropriately and towards her unique "dog" bent. Heather has an amazing amount of knowledge. She is patient and able to help from very beginner level (like myself) all the way to service animal (like others). She understands the different breeds and what it takes to train each one. I love that she shows us every day things that can be used safely but also will show us what equipment she recommends professionally. She teaches dog manners. She has been generous with her time also helping kids learn about dog care and training. We also joined a trick training class she offered. It was so much fun! She has a heart for dogs of all sizes. I am so thankful we met her and her willingness to help us learn. She has been a true blessing to our family.

Heather is a wonderful trainer! She listens to your goals and observes what your dog needs to be successful. She gave lots of ideas on how to make training fun and encouraging for my pup. The activities she encouraged me to try at home helped with maintaining positive behavior and reducing puppy biting and jumping. She was always patient and saw areas of improvement. I would absolutely recommend Long Dog Inc. for puppy training.

I'm a 64 yr old woman with one above amputation and my left foot and leg were crushed. The last dog I had: Annie was 110 lbs of brown-eyed girl, who just loved to love and be loved. Finally, more than 15 years of her passing, I adopted a wee dog, who didn't know any manners. Wasn't potty-trained. Had no recall. Twice my sexy bionic leg fell off in the park. I was starting to believe that bc I couldn't seem to train her myself!my new lil terrier would have to be rehomed. If she doesn't call when her disabled owner calls, it's such a risk.
The first trainer I picked charged me 125 and did nothing. We were worse than we were before so I asked Sam at the dog park. I got hooked with Heather immediately! Night and Day difference. Worth every penny for room and board training. Gracie now knows to sit, down, and is, kennel-trained, so she doesn't potty all over the house. Heather has made it so we can stay together. She's had a profound effect on our lives.

Heather is amazing to work with! She provided such wonderful support and really helped me to read my dog’s energy. Her board and train was 100% worth every penny. She even took our dog with her to the lake during his board and train week! I highly recommend working with Heather!

We have a Doberman that started becoming very reactive to other dogs. We started private sessions to help not only him but help us learn ways to train with him. It has been super helpful training our pup and ourselves. We can schedule our sessions around our crazy schedule which is helpful. Some positives with Heather is that she will answer all your questions and she explains why, what, and when to do the techniques. It’s super helpful because you can learn how to do them but if you don’t know when or why you’re using them. We are also able to bring my son and he works on some training methods with us (and he’s only 6!). It’s been helpful for my pup and our family, we are glad we found her because she really clicks with the animals she is training.
