My husband and I, along with 3 friends took the Skills, Drills and Scenarios class with Ron Givens this weekend. He was very thorough with assessing our skills and giving each of us feedback at the beginning of the class. We moved into several static target shooting drills. We then worked on scenarios, where Ron set up several "rooms" where we made entrance and cleared the room before finding the paper target "perpetrators" who were holding a paper target "hostage". We finished off the class by working some speed drills using steel targets at several distances while being timed. The class was exactly as advertised...skills, drills and scenarios.

Ron was very thorough in his safety briefing at the beginning of the course, as well as explaining his credentials. Interlaced throughout the various drills was a lot of very helpful tips for each of us on how we could improve our skills and tactics. He was very patient in working with all of us, but me in particular as I was the least skilled out of our group. I never felt belittled or discouraged. You could tell his only intention was to help grow each person in their skill level. We are all looking forward to taking more classes in the future and couldn't recommend Liberty Firearms Training more highly!

Ron is THE consummate professional when it comes to firearms training. My wife and I felt safe the moment we arrived and it is clear that this is Ron's top most priority when he conducts training. Ron taught us in a clear and methodical manner, interspersed with anecdotes and tips that prove Ron knows what he is talking about.

We did the Handgun 101 course and already planning more time with Ron and the rest of the LFT team soon.

I took CCW (Concealed Carry) training with Liberty Firearms. Ron Given’s was the instructor. It was Excellent. Ron is ex Military. He actually trains law enforcement. His training technique is really top notch. It’s conversational. You learn so much by just talking. He does follow all the requirements levied by the State of California. But he teaches in such a professional yet informal manner, that the instruction actually sticks with you.

His inputs for shooting technique were essential. After his training, I feel very comfortable safely handling and operating a firearm.

There will be further training opportunities with Liberty Firearms. And I intend to take those.

So if you’re looking for firearms training, I’d highly recommend Liberty Firearms. You can’t go wrong. And again, I highly recommend Ron Givens as your instructor.

I’ve also taken Liberty Firearms instruction with Jean Pagnone. Again, very very professional. Jean makes you feel comfortable in handling and use of firearms.

For any training, style is important. And both Ron and Jean make the instruction effortless and complete.

I had the pleasure of attending CCW training with Ron in early 2018 and it was outstanding.
Ron is patient and observant, watching how you manage firearms and demanding better from you when you slack off. He is a good, natural instructor and very approachable.

Ron would also be one of the most professional firearms instructors I have worked with to date, inside and outside of the military. Safety plays a big part of working with firearms and Ron is an excellent rangemaster in that regard.

I previously trained with Guy, taking LFTs basic pistol course back in July 2014 but am pleased to say my recent experience was as good as my initial course and that says a great deal about the calibre of Ron and Guy.

Liberty Firearms initial training exposes participants to a wide variety of handguns, allowing the trainee to decide what he or she finds most comfortable.

I would sincerely recommend Liberty Firearms Training and Ron to any seriously interested person(s), and I will be undertaking more training from Ron in the future.

Top notch training. I had the pleasure of taking the CCW class with Ron. The class was thorough, and was much more than a check-the-box course. Ron has the background, knowledge, skill, and patience to teach the novice as well as the experienced shooter. I consider myself a intermediate level shooter and I learned a ton about using a handgun for defense, as well as just going to the range for fun. Ron helped me zero in on some of my problem areas and I definitely have improved with my aim, operation, and especially speed. It was an experience that was both fun and enlightening. And to top it off, Ron as well as his business partner and fellow instructor, are flat out fine human beings. Absolutely recommended, and I look forward to other courses Liberty Firearms Training has to offer.

Having no formal firearms instruction prior, I found going to the range to shoot an exciting and yet nerve racking time, as I pride myself in competency with everything I do, yet felt weary of handguns as the majority of my prior training was with long guns.

Jean helped to put me and my friend at ease and is a marvelous instructor! Her demeanor is very calming, yet firm and re-assuring. She has a fantastic attitude towards instruction and ensuring utmost safety! I plan on getting my CCW in the near future and Liberty Firearms will be my instructors of choice.
