Been visiting this hotel since 1982. Absolutely loved this latest stay as Laguna Surf Lodge owned by SCP Hotels. From check in to check out, everything and everyone was superb. Thanks for the exceptional service Kyle, Tyson, Gabe and Jimmy. Love you all. Until next time.. ❤️

The location of this vacation rental is perfect as you can walk everywhere and it's on the ocean side. You do have to go down 92 steps to get to the beach, but well worth it. The ocean view rooms cannot be beat. We enjoyed our stay very much. This is a no frills place as it's a timeshare property but the staff is always nice and helpful.

Well. You pay for a bed. And a bathroom. Nothing more. No coffee maker, microwave, or TV. There’s construction going on. It’s loud. So you basically have to leave the property to have any quiet and enjoyment. Beach and views of course are incredible. But if it’s cool outside, then what? Comically expensive now for much less than what you got at the Riviera. And I had to wait till well after 7 am to get “amenity” coffee that should have been ready at 7 but nobody had shown up yet. So, all in all, if you like being treated like a 12 yr old on punishment, stay here. We won’t anymore.

It was an amazing location! Beautiful area, the rooms, or at least the one we had, was extremely outdated. The toilet clogged the whole time, so they gave us a plunger.
I feel they need to let people know where their room/unit is located. We were hoping for an ocean view but definitely didn't expect the patio balcony to be facing the street. A busy one and the bus stop is right out of our balcony. I would not recommend this unit but the place is nice enough and a great location overall.

Pro: Great location, and reasonable price for the location. Room is spacious and clean.
Con: No 24hr front desk, might be a little confusing for first timer if you want to check-in after office hour. Terrible wifi signal.
All things considered, will probably stay again if we visit this area.we

Location is really good, on the ocean side of PCH just south of Main Beach. ||However, the property has not been maintained well, several items in the condo did not work (dishwasher; entry door; hair dryer, to name a few). Stairway to the beach was not useable (broken stairs - looked like the problem had been there for quite a long time).||The layout of the condo was poor. When the murphy bed is down, there is less than 6" to the wall, so really hard to walk past it to get to the door or the kitchen. The oven door can only be opened if the refrigerator is also opened. The drainage from the patio / balcony has no diverter, it lands on the patio of the condo beneath.

We stayed at Laguna Surf starting this past October 6, 2019. Our unit had a street view which was ok. We definitely would have preferred the ocean view side. Our room was a one bedroom unit in fairly good condition. Everything was working and clean - certainly comfortable... just a little dated, no big deal. The bedroom was a bit cramped, again no big deal. Free Wi-Fi was welcome.|| The resort had underground parking with an elevator. Parking was included thankfully and actually super convenient with the 'clicker' to raise the gate. I felt my vehicle was safe and the facility was safe with key card access.|| The resort is situated right on the cliffs above the beach. They have a guest patio in the back with great views. A longish stairway leads directly to the beach, which like everything in Laguna is very very clean. || Laguna Surf is located one block from a Ralph's Supermarket, a block or two from downtown shopping and eating. It is ridiculously close to the Cliff Restaurant which offers fantastic views of the ocean and a small interesting shopping area. || This part of Laguna has a nice walking path along the ocean, again very clean and safe and well maintained. || I would say that for the purposes of relaxing and exploring, the location and the resort were excellent. If one had to stay in the room for extended time, it might get a bit old, thankfully the weather was great and we were able to enjoy the city!||

We have been coming to Laguna Surf for 20 years, Romero and his staff are gracious and accommodating. I love the small condos, they have 1 bedroom with 2 bathrooms with a Murphy bed for overnight guests. Wether your room faces the ocean or street side the patios are big enough for BBQs with 4-6 people. Last but certainly not least there is underground parking with 1 reserved space for each unit. If you are not an owner at this timeshare you can call the front desk and rent a week for cheaper than nearby hotels.
