Kathryn de Bruin is amazing. The training I did with her in Emotionally Focused Therapy four years ago changed my life and since then I make sure I get supervision from her whenever I can. I first met Kathryn DeBruin as she was teaching and supervising client cases as an Emotional Focused Couple/Family therapist. She is outstanding and is considered a leader amongst her peers. My wife and I spent two days working with Kathryn, and when we left, words used to describe how we felt were: energized; hopeful; strong; happy; validated; engaged. The two days were filled with a variety of emotions and experiences for both of us, and Kathryn expertly guided us to feel those, work through those, answer questions individually, and allowed us to be there for each other. We are a high functioning and loving couple of 10 years, but also new there were items we wanted to work. We saw Kathryn’s credentials, met her to discuss what we needed, and decided she was a fit. I am glad to see we were 100% spot on with that. Personally, I was amazed that she was able to help me process emotions with words, as that is not a strength. I saw her be there for my wife, reassure her, and empower her.
