Mr Navarro is the best! We took our German Shepherd who we adopted from a Humane Society after he had been returned twice. He was reactive and skittish. I called 6 different Vets in the area and several warned against the “professional” trainer here in Albany but every one of the Vets recommended Mr Navarro. After 30 days of Basic Obedience and Behavior Training we are able to take him in public places such as Home Depot and Lowe’s with no reaction. He obeys commands and walks so much better on a leash. Mr Navarro kept us up to date on Murphys progress and sent us pictures and videos throughout. We are so thankful to K9 Concepts. We can’t wait to go back for the Advanced Off Leash Training.

Gus and his wife were absolutely amazing! Gus worked with my English cream golden retriever Bella to teach her obedience skills as well as social interaction. At seven months old, she was sweet and smart but would jump up on people when she was excited—she also didn’t have the skills to heel, sit, lay down or stay, so it was harder to interact with her. Gus transformed her! Not only did she learn all the skills I needed her to have, but you could tell she had a wonderful time at his facility that month. She was still her sweet, smart self but much more manageable. Gus did a great job training me on how to work with her as well. A well-trained dog is a total joy to be around, and I’ll never regret sending Bella to K9 Concepts. Hands-down the best!

We had a wonderful experience with Gus and K9 Concepts. We took our 10 year-old Aussie for Basic and Socialization, and our 1 year-old Boxer for Basic, Socialization, and Advanced Training.

We knew our 10 year-old had some bad habits that we didn't want our rambunctious and very strong Boxer to pick-up, so off to training camp they went!

Gus did an amazing job with both of them. My husband and I both travel for work and love to take the dogs with us, now their behaviors allow them to be with us more often during work hours and play hours to grab a beer.

I can't tell you how nice it is to have confidence in my animals, and for them to have trust/confidence in me/us. Upon completion of the classes, Gus takes time to work with you one-on-one to make sure you are trained to be the best provider for your animal.

10/10 had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

A HUGE thank you to Gus Navarro of K9 Concepts Dog Training for training Mauser our 5 years old German Shepherd grandpup. Mauser was a ball crazy, energetic, and reactive dog. We picked him up yesterday and received our handler training. We all learned a lot. It is wonderful to be able to take him for walks and have him lay down and stay. Highly recommended Gus at K9 Concepts!!

I highly recommend Gus! We sent our Doberman Pincher, Stella, for their 30 day socialization and basic obedience training. Best money we ever spent on our dog. Gus is so knowledgeable and has so much experience there is no other person I would ever trust to train our dogs. This review is long overdue, but I want to thank Gus and his team at K9 for their work with our dog, Revan, an American pit bull terrier. One year ago this month, my husband and I moved to Vienna, Austria. Not only were we under pressure to train our dog to go from living in suburbia with a large backyard to city apartment living, but Austria also has strict regulations with this breed, so we needed to make sure he could pass these regulations AND live comfortably and peacefully in an urban environment. Gus and his team truly performed a miracle because Revan was a challenge! He came to us at 4 months old skittish, shy, and insecure. He had a lot of challenges when it came to trusting people and other dogs. To say that my husband and I are thankful is an understatement. Revan is truly a different dog. We can walk him in the streets with no issues; he sits calmly under tables when we go out to dinner, and overall he is confident and secure. We attribute all this to Gus and his team. We cannot thank you enough, GUS!

Gus and his trainer Eric are fantastic. We had them work with our German Shepherd, Rex, for a month and they gave him an amazing foundation and helped set us up for success with him.
