I have been seeing Dr. Laura Hoffman for several years and she is the most kind and caring person I have ever seen. She gives you a safe place to express your feelings and the ability to feel comfortable to discuss anything. She cares about your health and wellbeing. I would never even consider seeing any other therapist. I recommend her to everyone.

Therapists that refuse to do something simple and when emailed they dodge questions. I have no say over my treatment plan. I feel as though I’ve been treated with total disrespect and in a condescending manner. I thought highly of Doris and Heidi until the last few days. Would not recommend. Inconvenient hours also.

I recently called Jouneys Counseling as I had been referred by another therapist. The secretary answered after 10 rings. I explained I was referred and asked to leave a message for one of the therapists ( according to Psychology Today, they offer a free phone consultation ). What came next was nothing less than astounding. The secretary became condescending, agitated and somewhat hostile. "Well, I'm not scheduling anything." " I can take your number but they're not going to call you back." So far, no one has.

This was so outrageous, I had to leave a review ( it is my first negative review. ) to inform others. One would think in this profession, they would hire someone with at least an ounce of professionalism and compassion. There are much better alternatives.
