Truly a very thoughtful and caring team. Incredibly safe. Very patient instructors. Instruction is thorough and meticulous, but not unclear. They keep it simple so you aren't overwhelmed, but they do train progressively to push your limits. I highly recommend this school.

Excellent class! These instructors are LEO and military operators with real world gun fighting experience. They break down the fundamentals of efficient weapons manipulation with insights on the implications it will have should you ever find yourself in a fight for your life.

I took Carbine II. Can’t recommend this class enough. And can’t wait for Carbine III!

Incredible class with great instructors. It's been almost a decade however I've not found a better set of instructors that were more thorough and pushed us to become better at this caliber. The classes I've since taught (mostly Women On Target) were a breeze with the fundamentals instilled from a two day class plus NRA instructor classes (which were also fun/easy with ITTS as a foundation). I've moved away however I hope someday soon to come back for more, just the fun factor was worth it! Even though I mention safety last, it was never a concern as it was the highest priority among the instructors and students.

Great team of instructors to take students thru rigorous safety training and sequentially to shooting techniques in Handgun 1. Instructors are primarily active police officers who love to transfer their knowledge to the students. They took strive in making sure that we understood the concepts. Great appreciation to all of them. There are the remaining 3 classes to address other facets of shooting.

If you are serious about being a responsible gun owner, ITTS is the place to get your education. Any person (male or female) will walk away from their handgun 1 course feeling confident in their ability to safely handle a firearm, and shoot with a level of accuracy. My father (68) and I (35) thoroughly enjoyed working with all the instructors as they shared their knowledge and experience with us. Having multiple instructors in our class allowed each student to receive plenty of one on one time throughout the course, which proved to show great results from all the students. We both cant wait to take the next class.

The comradery and banter made it even more enjoyable. It was such a fun experience.

If you have experience with firearms and are willing to to be taught, you will appreciate and benefit from the quality of instruction here. The staff brings significant experience to bear and does not teach what you see in the movies. Emphasis here is on safe and responsible handling of firearms employing clean-lines, smooth manipulation, accurate shot placement and judicious use of it all, at speed, when all other defense has failed.

Now, if you have little or no experience with firearms you will most likely be surprised at the comfort and confidence you will begin to feel as you are directed and guided by the staff and you too will appreciate and benefit from the quality of instruction here. The introduction of the new habits and skills learned in "Handgun I" could potentially save a life from the hands of a bad guy or frankly, from your own hand. You might then choose to continue to develop these skills which are the basis for the more advanced and varied coursework that is offered.

All firearm owners owe it to themselves and the rest of us to be competent in the safe and judicious handling of their gun, and training with ITTS provides an excellent resource to acquire or hone those skills in a safety-conscious environment. I grew up around firearms and spent considerable time over 35 years at the range before the suggestion of a friend and a gift from my wife took me to the first of many classes at ITTS. Consider this my suggestion to you to look into training there, it is a good investment.
