I have been working with Intown Family Therapy for a few years now. I've worked with Katelynn for counseling and completed a six-week Yoga Group Therapy course with Shereen. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. In fact, I have recommended Katelynn and Shereen to several family and friends.

As a therapist, Katelynn instantly helped me to feel at ease with her relaxed and friendly demeanor. With her, it’s just like talking to a friend—except this friend is really good at listening and knows exactly how to help you feel less overwhelmed. Katelynn has supported me as I’ve worked through important and difficult life moments, and I am so grateful for her presence in my life. In a state where it can be extremely difficult to access and schedule mental health care, she makes scheduling simple and has always had time for me. She’s also willing to work with people on a sliding scale and took my insurance when many other practices did not. Katelynn is the best!

Shereen’s Yoga Group Therapy course was transformative for me. I had come to Shereen’s group following an accident, when I needed mental and physical support. From a physical (movement) perspective, I’ve never gotten so much out of a yoga session as I have with Shereen. Even in a group setting, she was hyper aware of my personal health needs and would often, as far as I could tell, tailor the session to my range-of-motion limitations. When that wasn’t possible, she would call out specific alternatives for me. From a mental and emotional perspective, she shared coping skills, chants, breathing exercises, meditations, and other tools each session—and that’s to say nothing of her facilitation of group work, which was also powerful and much needed. The combination of group therapy + yoga + meditation would often help to ground my entire week. Even now, I often find myself using the breathing exercises and coping skills she shared with us.

Thank you, Katelynn and Shereen!
